Skill UI

This skill guides researchers in assessing whether a manuscript's core contribution centers on banking, financial intermediation, or market frictions. It helps determine the research's scope, guiding decisions on whether the paper is theory-led (models of friction) or empirics-led (causal designs on credit data). Use this to maximize publication chances in specialized finance journals.

This guide provides best practices for empirical design and microstructure measurement in financial markets. It covers cleaning high-frequency TAQ/order-book data, constructing robust liquidity, spread, and price-impact measures, and meticulously documenting all sample filters and calculation assumptions. Essential for academic research where measurement rigor and transparency are paramount.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for researchers to determine if their work constitutes a genuine health-economics contribution for a specialized journal like JHE. It moves beyond simply having health data, instead focusing on whether the core economic mechanism relates to insurance design, provider incentives, market structure, or health behaviors. It helps refine the research question and position the paper against other related fields.

A comprehensive methodology guide for designing rigorous multi-country or cross-cultural studies, essential for international marketing research. It covers critical steps such as country selection criteria, ensuring construct, translation, and sampling equivalence, and planning for measurement invariance (MGCFA). It guides researchers through advanced designs including cross-cultural experiments, multi-level estimation, and handling secondary export/entry-mode data.

This guide walks authors through the entire academic publishing lifecycle for international marketing journals. It details the editorial pipeline, from initial administrative checks and editor screening to the detailed review process, including common desk-reject triggers (e.g., single-country data, lack of equivalence evidence). It also provides strategies for productive waiting, drafting anticipated objections, and managing revision decisions.

This router skill guides researchers through the complex, multi-stage process of developing and submitting high-quality manuscripts for the Journal of International Marketing (JIM). It helps users navigate crucial steps, from initial topic selection and theory development (ensuring the international dimension is theoretical, not just setting) to rigorous methods design, data analysis (including invariance testing), and final submission preparation. It serves as a structural map for academic writing in international marketing.

A comprehensive guide for conducting and reporting rigorous statistical analysis for academic marketing manuscripts, particularly tailored for the Journal of Marketing (JM) standards. It covers selecting appropriate estimators for various designs (e.g., panel, choice, field experiments), managing identification, testing robustness, and adhering to the mandatory reporting of p-values, standard errors, and managerial effect sizes. Also covers data replication and advanced econometric techniques.

A comprehensive guide for structuring marketing research designs, particularly for journals like the Journal of Marketing (JM). It teaches researchers how to select the most appropriate method (e.g., field experiment, survey, panel data, qualitative study) that directly addresses a substantive, managerially relevant claim. The focus is on achieving both internal validity (establishing causality) and external validity (realism in the market), ensuring the method serves the core business insight rather than being an end in itself.

A comprehensive guide for authors navigating the rigorous, double-anonymized review process for top-tier academic journals like the Journal of Marketing (JM). This guide explains the roles of Coeditors, the criteria for substantive impact and relevance, interprets various decision letters (e.g., Major Revision, Conditional Acceptance), and outlines best practices for manuscript improvement and data transparency.

Provides a comprehensive pre-submission checklist for manuscripts targeting the Journal of Marketing (JM). It verifies adherence to strict, evolving academic guidelines, covering double-anonymization, specific formatting (e.g., 50-page limit, Times New Roman), exact statistic reporting, and mandatory inclusion of a Data Availability Statement. Essential for authors preparing for submission via ScholarOne.

This comprehensive router guides authors through the entire manuscript lifecycle for submission to the Journal of Marketing (JM). It is not a replacement for specialized skills but provides a structured path, helping users determine the next necessary step—from initial topic selection and theory development to data analysis, contribution framing, and rebuttal drafting. It emphasizes ensuring the research has substantive, real-world managerial or societal relevance.

A comprehensive guide for researchers conducting advanced data analysis and reporting for top marketing journals. It details selecting the appropriate econometric estimator (e.g., ANOVA, DiD, IV, mediation models) based on the study design (experimental, observational, panel). It emphasizes meeting rigorous journal mandates, including exact p-values, standard errors, and effect sizes, and linking statistical findings to practical managerial claims.
