Skill UI

Provides a structured framework for vetting potential review topics for high-impact educational journals. It guides researchers through four critical fit tests—educational importance, literature maturity, current need for synthesis, and scope tractability—before committing to a full search or writing a protocol, ensuring the proposal genuinely advances academic understanding.

This skill helps authors assess the suitability of their accounting manuscripts for prestigious academic journals like Review of Accounting Studies (RAST). It analyzes the paper's fit, rigor, methodological strength, and structure against top-tier academic standards in areas like valuation, disclosure, and information economics. It provides actionable feedback on potential rejection risks and alternative venues.

This skill acts as a specialized guide for researchers submitting applied econometrics or empirical economics manuscripts. It helps authors assess the suitability of their work for the Review of Economics and Statistics (REStat) venue. It emphasizes framing the contribution around careful identification, robust measurement, and clean design, rather than general interest, providing crucial pre-submission self-checks and identifying potential desk-reject risks.

A comprehensive guide for executing and stress-testing empirical analyses in Industrial Organization (IO). It covers structural and reduced-form model diagnostics, advanced inference techniques (e.g., wild-cluster bootstrap), counterfactual validation, and meeting the rigorous robustness standards demanded by top-tier academic journals. Focuses on methodology, not study design.

This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for authors responding to a "Revise and Resubmit" (R&R) decision from The RAND Journal of Economics (RJE). It helps authors manage conflicting referee demands, adhere to strict page caps (50-page total), and maintain required academic house styles. The focus is on structuring the point-by-point response letter, prioritizing the Editor's concerns, and efficiently allocating new material to the main text or appendix, especially for Industrial Organization (IO) manuscripts.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to the RAND Journal of Economics (RJE). It details how to build a robust, reproducible replication package, focusing on creating a master script, pinning the computational environment, and properly documenting restricted datasets. It specifically addresses RJE's unique policy, which does not mandate formal data or code deposits, while ensuring academic rigor is maintained for reviewers.

A comprehensive guide detailing the multi-stage academic review pipeline for The RAND Journal of Economics (RJE). It explains the critical steps—from the initial editor screening and potential desk reject, through two anonymous peer reviews, to the final handling editor decision. This guide provides actionable strategies on structuring the manuscript, crafting the cover letter, and framing the Industrial Organization (IO) contribution to maximize acceptance chances.

This comprehensive guide helps authors determine if their robotics manuscript is suitable for the RoboCup Symposium. It provides specialized advice on conference positioning, required evidence (e.g., league performance, benchmarks), and framing for competitive robotics domains like robot soccer, rescue, and service robots. It emphasizes grounding the contribution in empirical, competition-based evidence rather than general theoretical work, serving as a fit and re-framing tool for high-level CI/AI submissions.

This comprehensive guide helps authors determine the suitability and optimal presentation of their robotics scientific manuscripts for the Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) conference. It provides strategic advice on conference positioning, defining the evidence bar, re-framing algorithmic or theoretical contributions, and addressing the specific needs of top-tier embodied systems reviewers.

A comprehensive guide for packaging robotic research artifacts (code, policies, ledgers, hardware specs) for peer review and public release. It details the necessary steps to ensure maximum reproducibility, auditability, and permanence, covering both anonymous review-time evidence and citable public repositories.

A rigorous framework for designing reproducible and scientifically sound experiments in robotics and AI, specifically for academic publication (e.g., RSS). It guides users to shift focus from simple system demonstration to testing a falsifiable scientific claim. Key areas covered include deriving conditions from a claim, establishing hardware trial protocols, managing simulation vs. real-world evidence splits, and performing detailed failure attribution analysis.

A comprehensive guide for positioning research papers in competitive robotics conferences. It teaches authors how to move beyond simple literature review by establishing clear, verifiable contrasts with existing work across multiple academic lanes (e.g., RSS, ICRA, CoRL, Journals). This methodology ensures the paper's novelty is rigorously defensible.
