Skill UI

This skill provides advanced rate limit handling for the OneNote Graph API. It implements a token bucket algorithm and queue-based throttling mechanism to prevent hitting rate limits (429 errors). It correctly parses the 'Retry-After' header and manages both per-user and per-tenant usage quotas, ensuring stable, high-throughput integrations.

A comprehensive guide detailing the reference architecture for connecting to OneNote via the Microsoft Graph API. It covers the distinct API paths, permission models, and object hierarchies for personal (OneDrive), SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 Group notebooks, ensuring seamless design for multi-tenant, enterprise-level integrations.

This skill provides robust, production-grade patterns for interacting with the OneNote Graph API. It addresses critical issues encountered in real-world applications, such as rate limiting (429 errors), transient server failures (502/503), and silent file upload failures. It includes retry decorators, batch request strategies, and proactive rate limit tracking mechanisms for both TypeScript and Python, ensuring highly reliable integrations.

This guide provides comprehensive instructions on implementing secure authentication and managing the token lifecycle for the OneNote Graph API. It details the mandatory shift from deprecated app-only authentication to delegated authentication using MSAL, ensuring compliance with modern OAuth 2.0 standards. Key topics include establishing least-privilege permission scopes, handling token renewal, and securely storing credentials using environment variables or Azure Key Vault. Essential for developers building resilient and compliant OneNote integrations.

This skill guides developers through critical breaking changes when upgrading OneNote integrations using the Microsoft Graph SDK. It details how to migrate from app-only to delegated authentication, replace decommissioned webhooks with polling, update deprecated search endpoints to OData filters, and upgrade the Graph SDK from v5 to v6. Essential for maintaining compatibility with modern Microsoft Graph APIs.

This utility addresses the lack of webhooks for OneNote resources. It implements an efficient change detection mechanism by performing timestamp-based polling and delta query comparisons against the Microsoft Graph API. It is essential for building real-time synchronization, change monitoring, or event-driven integrations for OneNote, while carefully managing API rate limits.
