Skill UI

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to elite economics journals, such as Review of Economic Studies. It assesses the paper's fit by evaluating novelty, theoretical rigor, methodological sophistication, and adherence to modern academic standards, helping authors strategically position their work and decide on the best target venue.

This skill acts as a specialized guide for researchers submitting applied econometrics or empirical economics manuscripts. It helps authors assess the suitability of their work for the Review of Economics and Statistics (REStat) venue. It emphasizes framing the contribution around careful identification, robust measurement, and clean design, rather than general interest, providing crucial pre-submission self-checks and identifying potential desk-reject risks.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to the RAND Journal of Economics (RJE). It details how to build a robust, reproducible replication package, focusing on creating a master script, pinning the computational environment, and properly documenting restricted datasets. It specifically addresses RJE's unique policy, which does not mandate formal data or code deposits, while ensuring academic rigor is maintained for reviewers.

This guide helps researchers evaluate whether a finance research topic meets the general-interest and intellectual standards of top-tier academic journals. It provides critical frameworks, such as testing for a "first-order question," "generality," and "top-three standards," ensuring the idea has broad appeal beyond a niche field. Ideal for pre-submission vetting and refining academic arguments.

A comprehensive guide detailing the process of transforming an anonymous, accepted academic paper into its final, public camera-ready version. Covers de-anonymization, restoring full author affiliations, adding external links, generating DOIs, and preparing for a full conference presentation.

A comprehensive guide on structuring a powerful, editor-facing cover letter for major scientific journals. Learn how to shift the focus from summarizing results to building a compelling significance argument that convinces the editor of the paper's broad, general-interest impact within the crucial first two minutes of reading.

A pre-writing triage tool designed to stress-test a scientific result's general significance and broad appeal. It helps authors determine if their work meets the general interest criteria of top-tier journals (like Science), guiding decisions on whether to target a broad readership or a specialized field journal.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to peer review comments after manuscript revision. It teaches strategies for triaging feedback (Do, Defend, Defer), prioritizing necessary experiments, maintaining a respectful tone, and restructuring the core scientific narrative for high-impact journals. Essential for navigating the academic publishing process.

This tool acts as a comprehensive workflow router for manuscripts aiming for top-tier journals like Science. It doesn't write the content but guides the user through essential stages—from initial significance testing to final submission and rebuttal. It diagnoses bottlenecks and suggests the next specialized skill needed, ensuring the manuscript meets high standards for general interest and structure.

A comprehensive skill designed for authors targeting Science Signaling, a leading journal in cellular signal transduction. This tool provides guidance on the journal's scope, required mechanistic depth, quantitative rigor, house style, and specific evidence standards (e.g., loss/gain-of-function, in vivo evidence). It is crucial for venue selection and restructuring manuscripts to fit the high standards of AAAS Science family publications.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting to top systems conferences (e.g., SenSys, MobiCom). It details how to structure the Related Work section by sweeping multiple literature lanes (IoT, embedded AI, networking), proving citation venues, and most importantly, distinguishing your novel mechanism from the single nearest prior system with concrete, measurable differences. Essential for academic publication rigor.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for authors preparing manuscripts for high-level academic publication, focusing specifically on data availability and transparency. It guides users through drafting the required data availability statement, depositing data and code in public repositories (e.g., OSF, Zenodo), and methods for documenting restricted or qualitative sources to ensure maximum reproducibility and ethical compliance.
