Skill UI

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for submitting research to npj Computational Materials. It defines the journal's scope, requiring rigorous computational methods (DFT, MD, ML, high-throughput screening) that yield generalizable materials insights or predictive capabilities. It educates authors on the required standards, including methodological rigor, reproducibility, and adherence to FAIR data principles, helping authors re-frame their work for a high-impact venue.

This guide helps researchers determine if their sustainability science manuscript is suitable for One Earth. It analyzes the journal’s scope, which focuses on interdisciplinary solutions, natural systems, and social interventions. The skill covers method standards, required structure (e.g., STAR Methods), and specific advice for framing research for high-impact, transformative publications.

A comprehensive guide for selecting and defending appropriate research designs—including qualitative, quantitative, experimental, and computational methods—for organizational science manuscripts. It emphasizes matching the method to the theoretical contribution and level of analysis, rather than solely focusing on causal identification. Learn how to structure your argument, ensure transparency, and build robust mechanism evidence.

A comprehensive guide for selecting and justifying research designs in Organization Studies. It covers rigorous standards for both qualitative (ethnographic, process, historical) and quantitative approaches. The core principle emphasized is that the design must directly illuminate the underlying organizational mechanism or process, not just measure endpoints.

A comprehensive guide for designing and reporting rigorous computational studies in Operations Research (OR) manuscripts. It covers best practices for selecting benchmark instances and strong baselines, applying statistical methods to stochastic output (e.g., confidence intervals), and adhering to mandatory code and data deposit standards (ORJournal workflow) to ensure full reproducibility.

This guide outlines the rigorous analytical methodology required for Operations Research (OR) manuscripts. It instructs users on selecting the appropriate mathematical machinery—such as duality, dynamic programming, convergence analysis, or concentration inequalities—to establish provable guarantees, approximation factors, and algorithmic complexity. It ensures that claims are backed by rigorous proofs, moving beyond mere heuristics.

This guide details the mandatory structure and best practices for submitting research articles to PNAS. It covers the proper order of sections (Title, Abstract, Introduction, Results, Discussion, etc.), how to manage length budgets, correctly place Materials and Methods within the main text, and ensure accurate Classification and keywords are chosen at submission.

A comprehensive guide for authors structuring and formatting scientific manuscripts for PNAS Nexus. It details selecting the appropriate article type (e.g., Research Report, Review), managing page length budgets, ensuring the Materials and Methods section remains in the main text, and organizing results logically by argument, not chronology. Essential for successful scientific publishing.

A comprehensive guide for structuring the analysis and results section of academic papers in Production and Operations Management (POM). It covers rigorous theoretical proofs, advanced empirical identification methods (e.g., DiD, IV), and data science validation techniques. The core focus is bridging statistical significance with actionable, operational managerial magnitude, ensuring research findings are decision-relevant.

This guide assists researchers in selecting the most appropriate and rigorous methodology for Production and Operations Management (POM) manuscripts. It covers various research tracks, including analytical modeling, stochastic process theory, game theory, causal empirical identification (DiD, IV, RD), behavioral experiments, simulation, and operations data science (ML/forecasting). It ensures the research method is tightly linked to the core operational question and possesses significant practical value.

This skill guides the rigorous defense of research design for demographic studies, particularly those linking population dynamics to development outcomes. It assists in selecting and justifying appropriate methods—such as life tables, decomposition, event-history modeling, and age-period-cohort analysis—and critically addresses the identification of causal links between population structure and development progress. It focuses on strengthening the argument by confronting rival hypotheses and establishing methodological rigor, without writing code.

A comprehensive guide detailing the open science and reproducibility standards required for academic publications, especially those utilizing original data or conducting meta-science. It outlines critical steps such as data repository deposit, protocol preregistration, and reporting inter-rater reliability to ensure research methods are fully auditable.
