Skill UI

This skill provides comprehensive tracking and visualization for Security Operations Center (SOC) performance. It calculates critical metrics such as Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Respond (MTTR), and alert quality ratios using SIEM data. Ideal for SOC leadership, compliance auditing, and continuous process improvement initiatives needing quantifiable security posture reporting.

A comprehensive, structured playbook for Security Operations Centers (SOCs) detailing the entire lifecycle of ransomware incidents. It guides analysts through detection (SIEM queries), triage decision trees, containment (EDR/Firewall), evidence collection, and recovery phases, adhering to NIST CSF and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.

A comprehensive skill for building detailed threat actor profiles. It systematically collects and correlates intelligence from diverse open-source sources, including vendor reports, dark web forums, social media, and code repositories. The resulting structured dossiers map adversary motivations, capabilities, infrastructure, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), enabling robust attribution and defensive planning.

A comprehensive guide to building automated Indicator of Compromise (IOC) enrichment pipelines within Splunk Enterprise Security. This process integrates multiple external threat feeds (STIX/TAXII, CSV, APIs) into normalized KV Store collections. By correlating these enriched threat indicators against live security events using advanced lookup searches, SOC teams can significantly reduce manual triage time and automatically identify potential security incidents.

This skill provides a comprehensive framework for building automated pipelines that ingest, normalize, and operationalize threat intelligence (TI). It connects diverse sources—including STIX/TAXII feeds, open-source feeds (e.g., Abuse.ch), and commercial TI platforms—into SIEM and security tools. Use this when SOC teams need to automate the entire lifecycle of IOC ingestion, scoring, and real-time matching against network telemetry.

This system provides a structured workflow for tracking security vulnerability exceptions and formally accepting related risks. It mandates documentation of compensating controls, manages required approval chains, and automatically handles expiration based on defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Essential for maintaining compliance and visibility into accepted risks, supporting frameworks like PCI DSS, SOC 2, and NIST CSF.

This workflow guides SOC teams in establishing a comprehensive, structured process for vulnerability management. It utilizes major scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS) to discover, prioritize, and track remediation of security weaknesses across the infrastructure. It integrates threat intelligence (CISA KEV) and asset criticality into risk scoring, ensuring resources are focused on the most critical threats.

This guide outlines the process of passive external reconnaissance using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques. Users can map an organization's digital footprint by gathering comprehensive data, including DNS records, subdomains, certificate transparency logs, social media profiles, and leaked credentials. It is critical for the planning phase of penetration testing, asset mapping, or preparing for social engineering, all without actively interacting with target systems.

This comprehensive skill guides users through designing and executing advanced social engineering penetration tests. It covers simulating real-world attacks, including phishing (email), vishing (voice), smishing (SMS), and physical pretexting. The goal is to measure an organization's human security resilience, identify training gaps, and test security controls across multiple vectors using tools like GoPhish and SET.

This guide outlines the comprehensive process for planning and executing authorized vishing (voice phishing) pretext calls. Used in red teaming exercises, it assesses employee susceptibility to social engineering attacks and evaluates the effectiveness of existing security awareness controls. Key steps include OSINT research, developing believable pretexts (e.g., IT helpdesk impersonation), structured call execution, and collecting detailed metrics.

Guides SOC teams through validating alerts, isolating networks and endpoints, preserving evidence, and disabling compromised accounts to rapidly contain an active breach while minimizing business impact.

This skill guides SOC analysts and detection engineers on how to correlate complex, multi-stage attacks within the IBM QRadar SIEM platform. It covers advanced usage of AQL (Ariel Query Language) for deep event investigation, building custom correlation rules (Building Blocks and Offenses), and cross-source data correlation (e.g., auth failures with network flows). It is essential for reducing false positives and improving threat detection accuracy.
