Provides comprehensive guidelines for designing scientific exhibits, including figures, tables, maps, and Highlights, for interdisciplinary, policy-relevant manuscripts. It emphasizes making data self-contained, focusing on the human/policy dimensions rather than just biophysical trends, and ensuring accessibility across various formats (grayscale, print).

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for authors to rigorously defend their research design in manuscripts concerning Global Environmental Change (GEC). It covers methodological pluralism, including quantitative causal inference, qualitative case studies, experiments, and mixed-methods integration. Learn how to strengthen your design, justify causal claims, address confounders, and link local evidence to multi-scale global processes.

This skill guides authors in determining the suitability of their manuscripts for the journal Genome Biology. It details the journal's scope, which requires integrating large-scale genomic or epigenomic data with novel computational methods or statistical frameworks. It emphasizes that successful submissions must provide both methodological advances and meaningful biological insights, adhering strictly to standards like open-source code, public data deposition (GEO, SRA, ENCODE), and rigorous benchmarking.

This comprehensive guide helps researchers determine if their work on biogeochemical cycles (e.g., carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur) meets the stringent standards for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (GBC). It emphasizes re-framing site-level measurements into quantitative, system-scale fluxes, budgets, and feedbacks, ensuring alignment with AGU's expectations for rigorous modeling and FAIR data practices.

This skill guides authors to evaluate if their ecology or biology manuscript meets the rigorous standards of Global Change Biology. It focuses on the necessity of linking research findings to explicit global-change drivers (e.g., warming, elevated CO2) and providing robust biological evidence, from molecular mechanisms to ecosystem-scale consequences.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting global ecology and biogeography journals. It assists in evaluating whether a manuscript addresses global or large-scale patterns of biodiversity, tests macroecological theory, and meets rigorous spatial-statistical standards. Covers scope, methodology, and submission best practices.

This guide provides comprehensive principles for designing high-impact, self-contained tables and figures for academic manuscripts. It focuses on cross-national comparisons, event studies, and coefficient plots, ensuring the visual argument is clear, reproducible, and readable in grayscale, adhering to rigorous academic standards.

This framework provides a comprehensive methodology for designing, auditing, and reporting empirical measurements about large-scale systems like the Internet. It guides users to ensure measurements are scientifically rigorous, by matching claims to evidence, quantifying coverage bias, designing for temporal changes, and adhering to strict ethical guidelines and data provenance standards.

A detailed guide to the INFOCOM conference submission and review pipeline. It explains the large-scale, TPC-driven process, including automated assignment, the critical early-reject screening phase, and how the lack of a traditional author rebuttal impacts defense writing. Essential reading for authors aiming to publish in top-tier networking venues.

This skill helps authors determine if their manuscript is suitable for the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC). It provides comprehensive guidelines on framing the work, establishing the evidence bar (requiring scale, performance portability, and systems impact), and positioning the contribution for a top-tier HPC flagship venue. Use it for strategic venue selection and manuscript re-framing.

This guide helps researchers strategically position their database, data management, or analytics papers for the International Conference on Very Large Data Bases (VLDB). It provides deep insights into conference positioning, required evidence (scale, systems depth), optimal structure, and how to compare the work against top venue standards. Use it before submission to refine your narrative and meet the archival standards of a flagship database conference.

This guide provides best practices for creating high-impact tables and figures (exhibits) for academic journals, especially in behavioral economics. It emphasizes visualizing the core behavioral comparison—such as treatment effects, dynamic changes over rounds, or underlying distributions—so the main finding is immediately visible before reading any text. Key practices include using confidence intervals over significance stars, ensuring grayscale readability, and providing self-contained captions.
