Skill UI

This skill guides authors on whether their British, European, or world history manuscript is appropriate for The English Historical Review (EHR). It details the journal's high standards for archival and empirical rigor, primary source command, historiographical placement, and formatting requirements (Chicago house style, double-blind review). Use this to check fit, refine arguments, and avoid common academic pitfalls.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for authors targeting The Innovation journal with cross-disciplinary breakthrough manuscripts. It assesses the journal's specific fit, rigorous method and evidence bar, required structure, and house style, ensuring the work is scientifically significant and legible to multiple fields. Use this to optimize your submission before official guidelines.

This skill provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating whether a clinical medicine or global-health manuscript is suitable for publication in The Lancet. It guides authors on refining the manuscript's framing, ensuring methodological rigor (e.g., PRISMA, STROBE), and adhering to the journal's specific house style and high editorial standards related to global health and health equity.

This guide assists researchers in determining the suitability of their study for The Lancet Public Health. It outlines the scope, emphasizing population-level interventions, global epidemiology, and health policy. It details stringent requirements for methodology, reporting guidelines (STROBE, CONSORT, PRISMA), addressing biases, and adhering to specialized journal house styles and submission protocols.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for submitting high-impact clinical and population research to The Lancet Respiratory Medicine. It details the journal's specialized scope, which favors practice-changing randomized trials and major prospective cohorts in respiratory and critical care. The guide highlights the rigorous evidence bar, including expected reporting guidelines (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA), statistical rigor, and structural house style, serving as a crucial fit and framing aid for authors.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting to venues focused on probabilistic AI, including UAI. It emphasizes achieving maximum formal rigor by enforcing strict notational discipline, clearly separating conditioning from intervention, explicitly stating assumptions, structuring the main body for maximum impact, and calibrating claims to match empirical evidence. Essential for papers involving graphical models, causality, and Bayesian methods.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting interactive system papers to UIST. It details the required narrative arc (walkthrough before mechanism), emphasizes technical specificity in implementation details, and provides rules for designing figures and structuring the argument within strict page limits.

A rigorous guide for drafting high-stakes, technical security papers for the USENIX Security Symposium. It mandates a threat-model-first structure, requiring authors to quantify all security claims with measurable data to avoid hyperbole. The guide also details integrating responsible disclosure narratives and adhering to strict academic formatting rules.

A comprehensive guide for revising visualization research papers for top-tier conferences and journals (e.g., IEEE VIS/TVCG). It mandates shifting focus from aesthetic design to rigorous, task-grounded contributions. Users learn how to justify every visual encoding and interaction based on the analytical task, ensure evaluation methods match the contribution type, and structure the narrative around the data-task problem.

A detailed guide for revising academic papers, specifically tailored for systems and database conferences like VLDB. It emphasizes establishing a strong 'page-one contract,' quantifying all performance claims with scoped metrics and baselines, and maintaining rigorous candor regarding design trade-offs and terminology throughout the manuscript.

This guide models the comprehensive two-round, journal-style peer review process used at major computer vision conferences like WACV. It details the distinct stages: Round 1 outcomes (Accept, Revise and Resubmit, Reject), the optional R1 rebuttal phase, and the final R2 decision. It emphasizes that the most critical phase for authors is executing high-quality revisions during the Revise-and-Resubmit stage, rather than solely relying on rebuttals.

A comprehensive guide to structuring and writing academic papers for WACV, focusing on maximizing acceptance rates. It details the critical differences between writing for 'Applications' vs. 'Algorithms' tracks, ensuring the first page immediately captures reviewer attention. Key advice includes adhering to the strict 8-page budget, making figures self-contained, scoping all claims precisely, and moving excessive detail to supplements.
