Methodology for configuring legal matter collaboration platforms: site architecture, workflow identification, dashboard design, data quality governance and user adoption for SharePoint, Teams and equivalent platforms.

Captures operational lessons from legal matters in three modes: in-flight (risks, scope changes), mid-matter phase review, and close retrospective. Use on risk materialization, scope change, phase completion, or matter closing. Converts experiences into reusable inputs for future matters.

Designs and tracks multi-stakeholder document approval workflows for legal matters, including review sequences, position tracking, overdue reviewer chasing, version control, and cross-jurisdiction dependencies. Ideal for legal project managers coordinating document circulation and approval cascades.

This advanced skill provides end-to-end management for external local counsel on multi-jurisdiction legal matters. It guides the entire process—from firm selection and engagement setup (including instruction design) through performance monitoring, scope enforcement, and relationship escalation. The focus is on the coordination discipline of Legal Project Management (LPM) to prevent common failure modes like scope creep and ambiguous instructions.

This skill automates the process of organizing unstructured client data—including emails, meeting notes, and org charts—into a structured, coherent matter brief. It supports the entire legal process lifecycle, from initial client intake and scoping to mid-matter reconstruction. Use it to compile raw material into a proposal-ready document, eliminating the painful, time-consuming phase of manual data assembly.

This skill converts an agreed initial scope into a comprehensive, structured, and executable matter plan. It supports multiple operating modes, including full detailed plans, high-level matter summaries, deep workstream task plans, rolling wave planning for fluid scopes, and crucially, updating the plan directly from unstructured correspondence (emails, meeting notes). It is essential for Legal Project Management (LPM) to ensure ownership, sequence, and dependencies are explicit.

A specialized skill for legal project management, designed to model, review, and optimize legal matter team structures. It identifies resource conflicts, assesses team gearing (ensuring the right grade mix is used), plans for team continuity during absences, and analyzes resource over-allocation across multiple matters. It helps law firms ensure cost efficiency and appropriate staffing levels.

This skill maintains a structured RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions) for complex projects, especially in legal matters. It excels at extracting critical, often buried, decisions, risks, assumptions, and scope changes from unstructured correspondence like emails and meeting notes, ensuring accountability and clear documentation.

A comprehensive tool for managing scope across the entire lifecycle of a legal matter. It helps legal teams establish a baseline scope, proactively track all out-of-scope (OOS) activities, draft necessary client communications, and manage scope creep. By automating capture and surfacing confirmations, it transforms scope management from an adversarial task into a professional, client-focused service, preventing budget surprises and ensuring project alignment.

This powerful Legal Project Management skill designs and maintains comprehensive communication architectures for complex legal matters. It guides users through four operating modes: mapping stakeholders (Mode 1), designing the communication rhythm (Mode 2), building multi-jurisdiction reporting hierarchies (Mode 3), and updating plans mid-matter (Mode 4). It ensures all relevant parties receive the appropriate information at the right time, preventing ad hoc communications and relationship surprises in high-stakes environments.

A specialized Legal Project Management skill that transforms unstructured inputs (emails, call notes, trackers, etc.) into highly structured, client-facing status reports. It goes beyond formatting by applying expert judgment to identify actual progress versus mere activity, flagging risks, determining required next steps, and reconciling discrepancies between multiple sources (e.g., comparing email narrative against an Excel plan). Ideal for LPMs preparing updates for clients or internal stakeholders.

This powerful skill converts complex, dependency-tagged matter plans into interactive Gantt charts and critical path analyses. Essential for Legal Project Management (LPM), it allows users to model 'what-if' scenarios—such as regulatory delays or scope changes—to predict program impact, identify affected tasks, and draft necessary communications. It supports baseline creation, change tracking, and filtered views by jurisdiction or workstream.
