A specialized guide for structuring the literature review of a sociological methods manuscript. It teaches authors how to position their contribution not against the topic, but against established methodologies. Users learn to map their work against prior estimators, cross-discipline techniques (statistics, econometrics, psychometrics), and competing approaches to maximize academic credibility.

This comprehensive preflight checklist guides authors preparing manuscripts for submission to Sociological Methods & Research (SMR) via ScholarOne. It covers critical modern academic requirements, including double-anonymization techniques, specific formatting rules (ASA style, abstract limits), data and code availability statements, and generative AI disclosure, ensuring submissions meet the latest journal standards.

A comprehensive guide for positioning a paper for ACM SoCC. It instructs authors to write the related work section by bridging both systems literature (e.g., OSDI, NSDI) and data-management literature (e.g., SIGMOD, VLDB). Focus must be on stating the 'delta'—the unique difference—rather than merely listing citations, ensuring dual anonymity and covering all relevant technical lanes.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting technical papers to top-tier conferences, detailing how to effectively partition content between the main paper body and supplementary artifacts. It emphasizes the critical rule that all decision-making evidence (e.g., headline results, key performance metrics) must reside within the limited page budget of the main submission, ensuring the work is judgeable even without accessing raw data.

This comprehensive guide provides strict structural and technical guidelines for authors submitting papers to ACM SoCC. It mandates focusing on cloud-scale problems recognized by operators, emphasizing contributions at the intersection of systems and data. Key requirements include reporting tail latency (p95/p99) and concrete cost models, grounding every claim in measured, real-world evidence, and explicitly stating external limitations.

This guide helps researchers understand the rigorous standards for publishing in the highly prestigious and cross-disciplinary journal, Social Sciences in China. It emphasizes that the core contribution must be theoretical depth, addressing major societal issues, and developing original concepts, rather than merely demonstrating advanced empirical techniques or niche findings.

This guide provides detailed standards for polishing sociological manuscripts, helping authors transition from policy-report tones and overly technical model descriptions to a balanced, scholarly register. It focuses on grounding theoretical arguments in concrete social mechanisms and processes, enhancing the academic depth of the work.

A comprehensive guide to structuring and drafting rebuttal responses for top-tier academic conferences like SODA. This process teaches authors how to efficiently address referee concerns within a strict time limit, distinguishing between genuine flaws and simple misreadings. It emphasizes evidence anchoring, maintaining anonymity, and adhering to strict submission rules to maximize impact during the short response window.

This guide details the rigorous, multi-stage academic review process for submissions to top-tier conferences like SODA (Symposium on Discrete Algorithms). It covers the entire lifecycle, from initial submission and abstract assignment to deep technical refereeing, author rebuttal phases, and final PC decision-making. It provides actionable advice on writing style, addressing reviewer comments, and improving borderline papers.

This comprehensive guide details how to architect a lengthy, complex academic paper into a single, highly navigable PDF. It establishes a two-tier document model, separating self-contained 'Front Matter' from verifiable 'Back Matter.' Learn best practices for structuring proofs, ensuring dependency order, and implementing critical navigation aids (like claim indexes and TOCs) so reviewers can follow the argument flow seamlessly, even without traditional supplementary files.

A comprehensive guide for drafting constrained author responses during major technical conference review periods (e.g., SOSP). Learn how to effectively correct factual errors and answer direct reviewer questions while strictly adhering to word limits and avoiding the introduction of new data or future work promises. Focus on precision and clarity for the Program Committee.

A comprehensive guide for writing the evaluation section of a systems paper for top-tier conferences. It teaches authors how to map every technical claim to verifiable experiments, establish fair state-of-the-art baselines, utilize mixed workloads (microbenchmarks, E2E applications, and traces), and honestly report critical metrics like performance tails, variance, and overheads. The goal is to maximize credibility and withstand rigorous peer review.
