Skill UI

This skill guides the execution and reporting standards for advanced demographic analysis, particularly for Population and Development Reviews (PDR). It ensures that demographic rates, life tables, and projections are not only statistically rigorous (handling uncertainty, denominators, and complex inference) but also clearly interpreted in the context of development, policy, and socio-economic meaning. It focuses on reproducibility and methodological transparency.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for constructing self-contained, highly legible tables and figures for population and development research manuscripts. It emphasizes that exhibits must communicate not only raw demographic patterns but also their broader development and policy significance to a wide, non-specialist readership (e.g., economists, environmental scholars). Key principles include showing uncertainty, using appropriate specialized graphics (e.g., population pyramids, survival curves), and maintaining data reproducibility.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for conducting highly rigorous, reproducible statistical analysis for complex survey data (e.g., weights, strata, clusters). This guide ensures that analyses meet the standards of top academic journals, emphasizing design-based inference, honest uncertainty reporting (CIs, MOE), and thorough robustness checks. Use this when you need to build a master script that regenerates every published table and figure.

This skill guides the creation of rigorous, self-contained tables and figures (exhibits) for academic journals like Public Opinion Quarterly (POQ). It ensures that all visual data accurately report design-based uncertainty, weighting adjustments, and the base N, meeting the high standards required for empirical survey research.

This guide details best practices for creating high-impact tables and figures for psychological science manuscripts, adhering to APA 7th edition guidelines. It emphasizes showing effect sizes, uncertainty (like confidence intervals), and embedding visuals directly within the main text near their first discussion, moving beyond traditional end-of-document placement. It covers data visualization principles and manuscript triage.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting quantitative analyses for high-stakes public policy research. This skill emphasizes methodological rigor, demanding transparency in uncertainty reporting (effect size, intervals), robust checks (heterogeneity, alternative specifications), and ensuring full reproducibility through master scripts and pinned versions for journal submission.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for designing tables and figures (exhibits) for academic manuscripts. The focus is on creating self-contained, highly accessible visualizations that effectively communicate quantitative effect magnitude and uncertainty to both specialized scholars and public practitioners, optimizing impact for publication.

This guide helps authors refine the core contribution sentence for Quantitative Economics (QE) manuscripts. It shifts the focus from complex methodology (machinery) to the clear, quantitative economic answer (the payoff). Learn to structure claims by linking a clear economic question, a measured quantity (estimate, counterfactual), and a broader policy lesson, while explicitly stating scope and uncertainty to meet high academic standards.

This skill provides comprehensive guidelines for conducting and reporting high-stakes quantitative data analysis in the social sciences. It emphasizes methodological rigor, requiring honest reporting of uncertainty, probing robustness (specs that could break the result), and ensuring full reproducibility. It covers advanced topics like design-based inference, cluster corrections, and handling missing data, ensuring results withstand expert review.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting complex social psychological analyses required for expert peer review. This skill covers norms for reporting uncertainty, assessing measurement quality, ensuring robustness checks, selecting appropriate statistical inference (e.g., multilevel models, clustering), and linking statistical findings back to the theoretical structure. It emphasizes methodological rigor and reproducibility.

A comprehensive skill designed to guide authors on whether their observational, data-intensive manuscript is suitable for The Astronomical Journal (AJ). It details the journal's specific scope, required methodological rigor (e.g., uncertainty propagation), and adherence to AAS/AASTeX standards, serving as a pre-submission fit and re-framing tool.

A comprehensive guide for authors targeting The Astrophysical Journal (ApJ) or its Letters companion (ApJL). It helps determine manuscript fit, ensures methodological rigor, and outlines house style requirements, covering everything from data availability and systematic uncertainty analysis to article length limitations. This tool assists in structuring high-quality, archival-grade astrophysics research papers.
