Skill UI

This tool serves as an orchestrator for developing Public Administration Review (PAR) manuscripts. It guides researchers through the entire writing lifecycle—from initial topic selection and literature positioning to theory building, data analysis, and final submission/rebuttal. It helps users determine the most appropriate article type (e.g., Scholarly Take, Conceptualizing PA) and maps the necessary steps to ensure the work bridges both academic theory and practical public management relevance.

This router guides authors through the complex publication lifecycle for Quantitative Economics (QE) submissions. It diagnoses current bottlenecks—whether in topic framing, data analysis, contribution clarity, or writing style—and directs the user to the precise specialized skill needed at that stage, ensuring a structured path from initial concept to final submission or rebuttal.

This router guides the author through the complex, multi-stage process of submitting a top-tier economics manuscript to the Quarterly Journal of Economics (QJE). It diagnoses the current bottleneck—whether it's conceptual framing, causal identification, robustness checks, or writing style—and directs the user to the appropriate specialized skill stage (e.g., literature positioning, identifying, rebuttal). It does not replace specialized skills but ensures optimal workflow sequencing.

This skill polishes scholarly prose, abstracts, and introductions to align with the narrative-driven, ambitious style of the Quarterly Journal of Economics (QJE). It focuses on making the core research contribution immediately legible to a general-interest, non-specialist reader, ensuring the big idea lands fast, even in long-form empirical papers. The skill guides users on structuring the 'introduction arc,' stating findings with concrete numbers, and minimizing technical jargon.

This tool guides authors writing on industrial organization, market structure, regulation, and antitrust. It provides a rigorous framework for evaluating whether a manuscript meets the high standards of top-tier IO journals by assessing theoretical models, empirical identification, and policy significance. Use it for venue selection and manuscript re-framing.

A comprehensive project management skill designed for academic submissions in Recommender Systems (RecSys). It guides users through the entire research lifecycle, from initial venue fit and data freezing to abstract submission, full paper writing, anonymous repository management, rebuttal drafting, and final camera-ready preparation. It provides backward-planning time offsets and risk identification.

A comprehensive guide for drafting a response-to-referees letter and revision plan after receiving a major academic decision (R&R or reject-and-resubmit) from top-tier journals like REStat. It teaches the strategy of structuring evidence-based rebuttals, prioritizing core identification/measurement concerns, and handling conflicting referee demands to maximize acceptance chances. Note: This skill guides writing strategy, not new analysis.

This skill guides the writing of a strong, argumentative literature positioning section for high-impact academic journals. It teaches researchers how to move beyond simple citation lists by systematically confronting the nearest competing works, clearly defining the unique marginal contribution, and establishing the necessary context ("why now?") for the research, ensuring the work's novelty and readability.

This router guides the entire workflow for developing a high-quality academic manuscript targeting the Review of Accounting Studies (RAST). It helps users determine the next necessary step—be it theory development, data analysis, refining contributions, or preparing for submission and rebuttal—ensuring methodological rigor and structural completeness throughout the writing process.

This guide helps authors polish the prose and structure of academic accounting manuscripts, particularly for top-tier journal submissions. It emphasizes front-loading the contribution in the introduction, crafting a high-impact abstract, and adopting an active, authoritative 'house voice' that guides the reader immediately to the core finding and its implication.

Provides a structured framework for vetting potential review topics for high-impact educational journals. It guides researchers through four critical fit tests—educational importance, literature maturity, current need for synthesis, and scope tractability—before committing to a full search or writing a protocol, ensuring the proposal genuinely advances academic understanding.

A comprehensive checklist for preparing academic manuscripts for submission to major financial journals. It guides authors through formatting rules, ensuring double-blind anonymization, preparing the Internet Appendix, writing a detailed cover letter, and addressing mandatory code release conditions, ensuring readiness before final portal submission.
