This guide provides comprehensive submission guidelines for the Journal of World Economy, focusing on open-economy macroeconomics, international trade, and global finance. It emphasizes aligning research with an international perspective, covering topics like FDI, trade regimes, and global value chains, ensuring submissions address the transmission channels of external shocks.

Provides a comprehensive guide for drafting a robust "Revise and Resubmit" rebuttal letter, especially for cross-disciplinary journals. It teaches authors how to simultaneously satisfy both methodology (identification) and policy relevance reviewers, protecting the core findings while addressing every comment point-by-point with evidence and reasoned arguments.

A comprehensive guide to defending causal claims in policy and program evaluation, adhering to rigorous econometric standards (e.g., JPAM). It covers advanced methods such as RCT, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity (RDD), Instrumental Variables (IV), and Synthetic Control. This guide emphasizes stating the estimand, defending identification assumptions, and robustly ruling out alternative causal explanations, rather than just writing estimation code.

A comprehensive guide for conducting and reporting data analysis for submissions to the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory (JPART). It covers advanced statistical methods, addressing common-method bias, ensuring robustness, and meeting mandatory data and code release standards to withstand expert scholarly review.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing a rebuttal letter for a major journal's revise-and-resubmit (R&R) decision. It outlines a strategic approach to structuring responses, addressing every reviewer point-by-point, reconciling conflicting demands, and most importantly, protecting the core theoretical contribution of the work.

A comprehensive guide to strengthening research designs for public administration manuscripts, particularly for rigorous journals that emphasize experimental and causal identification. It covers experimental designs, causal observational methods (DID, IV, RDD), multilevel modeling, and mixed methods, providing frameworks to defend against common methodological biases and rival explanations.

A comprehensive guide for strengthening empirical causal claims for top-tier economics journals. This framework teaches how to move beyond simple OLS regressions by rigorously testing for causal identification (e.g., DID, IV, RDD) and, crucially, mapping the statistical estimate back to a meaningful economic parameter or mechanism. It emphasizes the dual requirement of credible identification and deep economic interpretability.

This guide structures the entire process of responding to a Journal of Political Economy (JPE) decision letter (R&R or reject). It provides a detailed, point-by-point framework for drafting the response letter, organizing revisions, and strategically addressing tough academic demands like strengthening mechanisms, general equilibrium, and identification.

A comprehensive pre-mortem guide designed for authors submitting to highly selective academic journals, such as JPE. It teaches how to anticipate and proactively address critical methodological objections—including General Equilibrium failures, endogeneity concerns, and lack of clear economic mechanisms—thereby significantly hardening the manuscript before formal review.

This guide provides an advanced framework for conducting rigorous causal inference and policy evaluation, essential for academic journals. It covers state-of-the-art methods including DiD, RDD, Synthetic Control, and experimental analysis. The core focus is moving beyond simple p-values to estimate effect magnitudes in tangible 'decision units' (e.g., dollars per household, percentage points). It mandates comprehensive stress-testing, including pre-trend checks, placebo outcomes, and detailed subgroup heterogeneity analysis, ensuring results are immediately actionable by regulators.

This guide helps authors strategically position their academic manuscript within the specialized scope of the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing (JPP&M). It teaches how to situate the research by addressing three key areas: the established marketing-and-policy canon, the specific disciplinary literature, and the current regulatory record. It also provides techniques to clearly differentiate the contribution from similar fields (e.g., consumer psychology or general policy journals), ensuring the gap is decision-relevant for policymakers.

Provides comprehensive methodological guidelines for designing rigorous studies in public policy and marketing. The framework covers both prospective (e.g., realistic experiments) and retrospective (e.g., DiD, RDD) evaluation designs, emphasizing the necessity of establishing a strong counterfactual basis and ensuring policy relevance in data collection and analysis.
