Skill UI

A comprehensive guide for authors aiming to submit manuscripts to Current Biology. This skill helps assess the manuscript's scope, novelty, and completeness against the journal's high standard. It covers journal positioning, structure requirements (STAR Methods, figure quality), and disciplinary fit across fields like ecology, neuroscience, and evolution, guiding authors on how to frame their work for a broad scientific readership.

A comprehensive guide for authors responding to major journal revisions (R&R), particularly in demography. It outlines strategies for addressing expert reviewer critiques, reconciling conflicting methodological assumptions (like rates or identification), and defending the core demographic substance using rigorous evidence. This skill ensures the response is structured, respectful, and scientifically robust.

This guide outlines best practices for achieving high levels of research reproducibility for academic papers, particularly in database and systems research. It details methods for pinning dataset versions, logging system environments, mapping empirical claims to verifiable evidence, and structuring availability statements. Adherence ensures the work is robust, transparent, and fully verifiable by the scientific community.

This comprehensive guide helps authors determine the suitability and necessary framing for research related to environmental contamination. It mandates moving beyond simple pollutant detection, requiring rigorous evidence to connect contaminants to their fate, transport, and demonstrable ecological or human health impact. Essential for method validation, QA/QC, and scientific rigor.

This guide instructs authors on how to craft a robust, cross-disciplinary gap statement for high-level earth science journals. It teaches that a paper's contribution must be framed by triangulating evidence across multiple sub-fields (geochemistry, geophysics, geodynamics, etc.) and competing hypotheses, rather than focusing solely on a single methodological community.

This guide outlines the rigorous methodological standards for empirical work in AI fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAccT). It advises researchers on matching specific claims (e.g., disparate harm) to appropriate evidence types—including disaggregated metrics, coded qualitative data, and documented ethical procedures. It stresses the importance of ethical review, handling protected attributes, and acknowledging limitations to ensure high scientific and ethical rigor.

A comprehensive methodology for designing scientific and reproducible storage evaluations, particularly for high-stakes submissions. This guide covers controlling device state (aging, preconditioning, TRIM), selecting credible workloads (fio, YCSB), matching metrics (P99.9 latency, bytes-written) to claims, and rigorously testing durability and crash consistency on real hardware.

This skill provides a rigorous review pass for drafting or polishing academic manuscripts for general agronomists. It enforces strict structural discipline (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion), ensuring the writing is quantified, generalizable, and scientifically interpretive. Ideal for refining abstracts, highlights, and discussions where the goal is to elevate local findings into broad, theory-driven scientific contributions.

This comprehensive guide outlines the high standards and scope required for publishing in Food Chemistry. It emphasizes rigorous analytical chemistry, detailed method validation (LOD/LOQ, precision), quantified compositional results, and strong chemical mechanism interpretation. Use this tool to assess whether your manuscript meets the necessary scientific rigor for this specialized journal.

A comprehensive guide for auditing and improving the scientific rigor of hardware architectural evaluations (e.g., HPCA style). It emphasizes establishing a clear 'fidelity contract' defining tools, scope, and configurations. It requires that all performance claims are backed by credible instruments, mandates capturing full machine state provenance, ensuring honest baseline tuning, and reporting results via per-workload distributions rather than single means.

This guide outlines the rigorous methodology for ensuring that computational research results, especially those involving hardware architecture and simulation, are fully reproducible. It emphasizes pinning the entire result chain—from simulator commits and configuration files to workloads, sampling recipes, and statistics scripts—and mandates creating a manifest for every figure. Key practices include recording machine state for silicon runs and containerizing the environment to prevent data drift.

This guide details the necessary workflow for organizing supplementary academic content, such as code, extensive methodologies, and raw data, across various conference submission phases. It emphasizes placing only core arguments in the main body, keeping sensitive materials anonymized in the mirror, and preparing a staging shelf for efficient revision.
