When to use

When the question mentions that the director, writer, or showrunner of the target series also worked on another identifiable project (e.g., "directed a three-part series", "also wrote for show X").

Technique

Directors and writers often have distinctive filmographies. When the question describes their other works, use those as search anchors to identify the person first, then trace back to the target series.

Search for the crew member using their other work's characteristics. Once identified, search their full filmography to find the target series. Then verify episode/season-level constraints.

This is especially effective when the other work is described distinctively (e.g., "a trilogy series", "an award-winning miniseries").

Anti-pattern

• Ignoring cross-reference clues: Searching only for the target show's plot while ignoring "the director also directed X" wastes a powerful locating signal.
