Skill UI

This comprehensive workflow guides the process of building and deploying new features that must maintain consistent functionality and design across multiple operating systems (web, mobile, and desktop). It strictly follows an API-first architecture, starting with defining shared API contracts (OpenAPI/GraphQL) and a unified design system. The process then guides parallel implementation across specialized stacks like React/Next.js, SwiftUI, and Jetpack Compose, ensuring high code consistency and faster time-to-market.

This skill guides the comprehensive packaging and deployment of applications built with Makepad. It covers building for multiple target platforms, including desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile (Android, iOS), and WebAssembly. Use this guide when setting up CI/CD pipelines, generating distributable installers (.deb, .dmg, .apk, .ipa), or automating release artifacts using tools like cargo-packager and cargo-makepad.

A comprehensive guide for building robust, production-grade desktop applications using Electron. This skill covers advanced topics including multi-process architecture, mandatory security hardening (contextIsolation, sandbox), secure IPC communication, and best practices for packaging, code signing, and implementing auto-update features.

MCPB is a specialized local server bundle that packages the entire runtime environment (Node.js or Python) alongside the server code. It allows developers to distribute and run complex MCP services directly on a user's machine without requiring the user to pre-install specific runtimes or toolchains. Use this when the server must interact with the local filesystem, desktop applications, or OS-level APIs.

A comprehensive guide and toolkit for performing End-to-End (E2E) testing on native Windows desktop applications (WPF, WinForms, Win32, Qt) using pywinauto and the Windows UI Automation (UIA) API. Covers setup, locator strategies, and page object modeling for robust desktop automation.

A comprehensive skill for capturing and documenting web application and graphical UI states during the development cycle. It supports full-page captures using Playwright, reliable post-processing cropping with PIL, capturing interactive states (hovers, selections), and even handles non-web desktop applications using mss/ctypes.

A comprehensive framework for performing end-to-end (E2E) testing on various Windows native desktop applications. It utilizes pywinauto and the Windows UI Automation (UIA) API, supporting major frameworks including WPF, WinForms, Win32/MFC, UWP, and Qt. This skill helps automate complex GUI interactions, making it ideal for CI/CD integration and building robust desktop test suites.

Master secure Electron desktop app development: multi-process architecture, contextIsolation, IPC communication, preload scripts, electron-builder packaging, code signing, and auto-update strategies.

Launch and drive the project's Electron desktop app under Playwright on a scratch profile to click, type, screenshot, inspect accessibility snapshots, run renderer or main-process code, and read logs for end-to-end UI verification.

This skill enables packaging and deploying Makepad applications across multiple platforms including Desktop, Android, iOS, and Web. It covers using cargo-packager and cargo-makepad for creating installers like .deb, .dmg, .apk, and .ipa. It also guides on setting up GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows and managing resources for distribution.

A Rust-based UI framework skill for creating and working with Makepad widgets. Covers core widgets like View, Button, Label, and advanced components for building desktop applications with rich user interfaces. Includes documentation patterns, widget traits, and built-in widget references for UI development.

Build and deploy the same feature consistently across web, iOS, Android, and desktop using API-first architecture, shared design systems, and parallel implementation strategies to achieve cross-platform feature parity.
