Skill UI

Provides comprehensive steps for managing the Granola desktop app lifecycle. This guide covers performing manual or automatic version upgrades, resolving post-update issues, and executing complex subscription plan migrations (e.g., Basic to Enterprise). It details how to ensure data preservation during all transitions and includes managing team seats.

Guides building native-feeling macOS interfaces, covering layout/composition, traffic lights, draggable chrome, shortcuts, light/dark mode, visuals, animations, drag-and-drop, and onboarding for desktop tools whether React, Electron, or native.

This comprehensive workflow guides the process of building and deploying new features that must maintain consistent functionality and design across multiple operating systems (web, mobile, and desktop). It strictly follows an API-first architecture, starting with defining shared API contracts (OpenAPI/GraphQL) and a unified design system. The process then guides parallel implementation across specialized stacks like React/Next.js, SwiftUI, and Jetpack Compose, ensuring high code consistency and faster time-to-market.

This skill guides the comprehensive packaging and deployment of applications built with Makepad. It covers building for multiple target platforms, including desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), mobile (Android, iOS), and WebAssembly. Use this guide when setting up CI/CD pipelines, generating distributable installers (.deb, .dmg, .apk, .ipa), or automating release artifacts using tools like cargo-packager and cargo-makepad.

A comprehensive guide for building robust, production-grade desktop applications using Electron. This skill covers advanced topics including multi-process architecture, mandatory security hardening (contextIsolation, sandbox), secure IPC communication, and best practices for packaging, code signing, and implementing auto-update features.

A comprehensive guide to conducting security assessments on thick client (desktop) applications. This skill details techniques ranging from static analysis (using tools like dnSpy, IDA Pro) to dynamic analysis (process monitoring with Procmon, network interception via Burp Suite). It covers finding hardcoded credentials, identifying insecure local storage, mitigating DLL hijacking, and analyzing memory manipulation within local applications.

MCPB is a specialized local server bundle that packages the entire runtime environment (Node.js or Python) alongside the server code. It allows developers to distribute and run complex MCP services directly on a user's machine without requiring the user to pre-install specific runtimes or toolchains. Use this when the server must interact with the local filesystem, desktop applications, or OS-level APIs.

Guides designers through using the Penpot MCP tools to craft professional UI/UX for web, mobile, and desktop apps, covering workflows, design systems, accessibility checks, and setup/troubleshooting steps for the Penpot MCP server.

A comprehensive guide and toolkit for performing End-to-End (E2E) testing on native Windows desktop applications (WPF, WinForms, Win32, Qt) using pywinauto and the Windows UI Automation (UIA) API. Covers setup, locator strategies, and page object modeling for robust desktop automation.

A comprehensive skill for capturing and documenting web application and graphical UI states during the development cycle. It supports full-page captures using Playwright, reliable post-processing cropping with PIL, capturing interactive states (hovers, selections), and even handles non-web desktop applications using mss/ctypes.

A comprehensive framework for performing end-to-end (E2E) testing on various Windows native desktop applications. It utilizes pywinauto and the Windows UI Automation (UIA) API, supporting major frameworks including WPF, WinForms, Win32/MFC, UWP, and Qt. This skill helps automate complex GUI interactions, making it ideal for CI/CD integration and building robust desktop test suites.

Use for live Windows or macOS GUI tasks that structured tools cannot complete. Discover approved apps and windows, observe current state, act via semantic elements or shortcuts, and verify every requested outcome. Includes an operating loop for reliable desktop automation and visual verification.
