Skill UI

This skill details the rigorous methodology for defining study eligibility criteria and coding data for comprehensive meta-analyses. It emphasizes pre-specifying inclusion/exclusion rules in a protocol, developing a detailed codebook, performing double-coding, and calculating inter-rater reliability (e.g., Kappa, ICC) to ensure the reproducibility and trustworthiness of synthesis findings.

A comprehensive guide for designing and documenting systematic literature searches for meta-analyses or systematic reviews. It ensures reproducibility by covering multiple databases (e.g., PsycINFO, PubMed), controlled vocabulary, grey literature, and adhering strictly to PRISMA-S guidelines. It helps build a robust, traceable research pool.

Provides rigorous statistical guidance for conducting meta-analyses in academic settings. This skill covers the calculation of standardized effect sizes (e.g., Hedges' g, log odds ratio), selecting appropriate models (defaulting to random-effects or multilevel models), and accurately quantifying between-study heterogeneity (Q, I², τ², and prediction intervals). It ensures the analysis meets state-of-the-art standards for high-impact psychological journals.

A comprehensive skill for advanced meta-analysis in psychology, designed to assess the reliability and sources of heterogeneity. It performs moderator/subgroup analyses (meta-regression) to explain effect size variation and runs multiple publication-bias diagnostics (e.g., Funnel plot, Egger's test, p-curve, selection models). Essential for rigorous academic reporting requiring robust evidence and sensitivity checks.

This skill guides authors in assembling a comprehensive transparency package for academic submissions (especially meta-analyses). It ensures adherence to Open Science principles by detailing requirements for protocol preregistration (PROSPERO/OSF), depositing the coded database, codebook, and analysis scripts. It is essential for proving the full reproducibility of quantitative research findings.

This guide provides a structured framework for responding to reviewers and editors regarding a meta-analysis or systematic synthesis. Because such revisions often involve expanding the search, changing eligibility criteria, or adding complex bias diagnostics, the response must maintain impeccable internal statistical consistency across all tables, figures, and estimates. It ensures all methodological changes are clearly propagated and justified.

This skill guides the creation of standard, high-quality exhibits for meta-analysis manuscripts, specifically adhering to APA 7th edition standards required by journals like Psychological Bulletin. It generates critical figures such as PRISMA flow diagrams, forest plots, funnel plots, and summary tables, ensuring the final report is self-contained, reproducible, and scientifically rigorous.

This skill guides researchers in transforming raw meta-analysis results (e.g., pooled effects, moderator analyses) into a genuine, high-impact theoretical contribution suitable for integrative review journals. It teaches how to interpret conflicting findings, build or refine theoretical models, clearly state scope conditions (boundary conditions), and set concrete future research agendas, ensuring the findings advance the field beyond mere statistics.

This skill guides researchers on whether a proposed research topic is suitable for a high-level synthesis journal (like Psychological Bulletin). It assesses the existing literature's depth, general academic significance, and whether the contribution is synthesizing prior findings. It determines the most appropriate synthesis methodology—such as meta-analysis, systematic review, or qualitative meta-synthesis—by comparing the nature of the pooled data.

This guide is designed for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, providing a rigorous framework to stress-test the robustness and completeness of reported findings. It mandates advanced checks such as saturation evidence, risk-of-bias appraisal, and statistical diagnostics (e.g., heterogeneity, publication bias) to ensure conclusions are not artifacts of omission or methodological weakness. Essential for high-level academic research.

This comprehensive guide details the rigorous methodology for conducting systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses, particularly in educational research. It ensures the reproducibility and defensibility of the evidence corpus by documenting the entire PRISMA flow, from exhaustive multi-database searching and dual screening to structured data extraction and subsequent synthesis of findings.

A comprehensive guide for developing a rigorous, a-priori protocol for systematic reviews and meta-analyses in educational research. This tool ensures methodological transparency by defining the scope (PICO), eligibility criteria, search strategies, screening procedures, and synthesis plans before any data is collected, protecting the integrity of the research findings.
