Skill UI

Provides detailed guidelines for authors submitting manuscripts to academic journals, specifically addressing the strict limit of 10 tables and figure panels, along with a 10-page supplementary cap. This guide teaches authors how to critically select, consolidate, and present key research results—such as marginal effects, event studies, or decomposition plots—to ensure every exhibit is self-contained, highly clear, and robust enough to pass expert review.

This skill guides authors on strategically positioning data mining research for the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining (SDM). It helps adjust manuscript framing, emphasizing mathematical rigor, statistical depth, and algorithmic contribution suitable for top Computer Science venues. Use it for venue selection, understanding reviewer expectations, and structuring evidence to meet the high standards of SIAM-style research.

A comprehensive guide for structuring research papers, particularly in computer graphics and visualization fields (like SIGGRAPH). It dictates how to match technical claims (e.g., 'higher quality,' 'faster') to verifiable evidence, including head-to-head comparisons against State-of-the-Art (SOTA), detailed metric reporting (PSNR, SSIM, Hausdorff), performance timing linked to specific hardware, and robust user studies. Essential for achieving academic rigor and pre-empting domain reviewer objections.

A comprehensive guide for packaging and submitting artifacts for Information Retrieval (IR) conferences (like SIGIR). It details the strict requirements for reproducibility, including mandatory components like TREC-format run files, qrels, and index recipes. The process covers repository structure, anonymization for review, handling data provenance, and ensuring that results can be audited by any reviewer using standard community tooling.

A detailed guide modeling the complex academic review machinery, using SIGIR as a primary example. It covers everything from per-track anonymity regimes and PC-member nomination duties to the critical scoring criteria: evaluating validity, fairness of comparison, and statistical rigor. Essential reading for authors preparing high-stakes research submissions.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for achieving high levels of scientific reproducibility for academic papers, particularly those in systems metrics. It covers mapping claims to verifiable evidence, ensuring simulators are seeded and deterministic, and documenting measurement provenance to allow reviewers to independently verify all reported results.

Provides expert guidelines for creating high-rigor methodological exhibits for the Sociological Methods & Research (SMR) journal. Focuses on constructing self-contained simulation grids, method-comparison tables, and diagnostic figures that clearly communicate methodological arguments, ensuring reviewers can audit claims directly without relying on surrounding prose.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting complex social psychological analyses required for expert peer review. This skill covers norms for reporting uncertainty, assessing measurement quality, ensuring robustness checks, selecting appropriate statistical inference (e.g., multilevel models, clustering), and linking statistical findings back to the theoretical structure. It emphasizes methodological rigor and reproducibility.

This skill guides authors on positioning information retrieval (IR) work for the Text REtrieval Conference (TREC). It functions as a venue-selection and manuscript re-framing tool, ensuring the submission aligns with TREC's focus on shared evaluation tracks, test collections, and NIST-style benchmarking. It helps authors structure evidence, understand reviewer expectations, and distinguish the work from general CS conference submissions.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for authors targeting The Cryosphere journal. It details the journal's scope (ice sheets, permafrost, sea ice), high methodological standards (FAIR data, uncertainty quantification), and the unique EGU interactive public peer-review process. Use this tool to determine if a cryospheric study is suitable for this specific open-access venue.

A comprehensive guide for designing and auditing visualization experiments for high-stakes academic submissions (e.g., IEEE VIS). It details how to match evidence—such as controlled studies, power analyses, and benchmarks—to the specific type of claim (perceptual, algorithmic, system). Learn best practices for statistical rigor, CVD-safe encoding, and maintaining full provenance to ensure your findings are scientifically sound and trustworthy.

A rigorous checklist and guide for conducting causal inference in development economics, specifically tailored to the high standards of top-tier journals like The World Bank Economic Review (WBER). It covers advanced econometric designs (RCT, DiD, RD, IV), focusing not just on estimation but on defining the estimand, addressing external validity, general equilibrium effects, and translating local findings into actionable policy recommendations.
