A comprehensive guide for authors drafting or revising academic papers for Web Conference (WWW). It teaches how to structure the paper around a web-native mechanism, quantify scale, and write for a mixed computing and social science audience. Learn best practices for page-one impact, compression, and stylistic details to maximize review scores.

This guide instructs researchers on how to adapt academic manuscripts for a highly cross-disciplinary, policy-oriented audience, modeled after the standards of World Development (WD). It emphasizes shifting the focus from literature gaps or technical methods to concrete development problems, translating complex jargon and statistical findings into clear, actionable policy implications, ensuring maximum readability for non-specialist policymakers and scholars.

This skill guides authors in polishing academic manuscripts for top-tier comparative politics and International Relations journals. It ensures the work reads broadly across cases, front-loads the core argument, adheres to strict house styles (author-date, anonymity), and fits demanding word count limits. Ideal for final drafting and submission preparation.

This guide teaches researchers how to strategically position a paper's contribution within established academic lineages (e.g., click models, LTR). It emphasizes moving beyond simple citation coverage to writing precise 'contrast sentences' that articulate the technical delta, ensuring the work's novelty is clearly defined relative to neighboring venues like SIGIR and KDD. Ideal for authors refining their technical writing for top-tier conferences.

This skill guides the construction of complex legal arguments, adhering to the standard persuasive arc: doctrine → theory → normative. It ensures the writing systematically moves from mapping existing law (the problem) to developing a conceptual framework (the why) and finally proposing actionable reforms (the fix). It is essential for building a rigorous, logical, and comprehensive academic argument.

This guide details the rigorous, multi-round editing process for legal scholars submitting to high-level academic journals like The Yale Law Journal (YLJ). It trains users on navigating substantive critiques, resolving complex source-pull and citation queries, and adapting the writing process for fast-paced online formats (YLJ Forum). The focus is on maintaining legal integrity and argumentative coherence throughout the intensive revision cycle.

This skill revises legal prose to match the high standards of major academic journals, ensuring clarity and readability for a generalist legal audience (e.g., non-specialist scholars, judges, and practitioners). It focuses on making the argument visible in the main text, maintaining a confident, plain voice, and properly balancing supporting material in footnotes with core reasoning in the body. Ideal for final polish passes before submission.

This guide helps polish academic manuscripts for submission to specialized journals, such as the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI). It ensures adherence to institutional house conventions (numbered sections, author-date referencing, concise abstract) and, critically, structures the argumentation to explain the underlying economic mechanism *before* presenting formal econometric specifications, elevating the paper's scholarly rigor.

This guide teaches how to structure the introduction of a scholarly paper to effectively position its unique contribution against the current academic frontier. Instead of writing a general literature review, it focuses on articulating the 'delta'—what the paper does that prior work could not—making the work highly visible to general-interest journal editors and referees.
