A comprehensive guide for positioning computer science manuscripts for top-tier security conferences like USENIX Security. It covers core topics (systems, network, privacy, software security), required evidence (rigorous artifact, measurement, vulnerability analysis), and strategic advice on framing the work to meet adversarial reviewer expectations. Ideal for authors preparing high-stakes academic submissions.

A comprehensive guide for researchers on how to effectively position academic contributions, particularly for top-tier development economics journals. It instructs users to move beyond merely stating a research topic (e.g., 'first to study X in Y') by framing their findings as generalizable claims about underlying mechanisms or quantitative gaps. Key focus areas include linking academic gaps to active development policy debates and strategically distinguishing the work from similar fields like JDE or World Development.

A comprehensive guide for authors on allocating limited space within academic conference papers. It details the 'three-container model' (main body, references, appendix) and provides rules for maximizing rhetorical impact while adhering to strict page limits, ensuring evidence is placed correctly for reviewers.

This skill provides a rigorous fit test for legal scholarship ideas targeting The Yale Law Journal (YLJ). It helps users determine if their claim has generalist significance beyond a single niche, whether the argument is substantial enough (a claim, not a survey), and what the appropriate format (Article, Essay, Forum) should be. It is crucial for pre-drafting evaluation.

This skill revises legal prose to match the high standards of major academic journals, ensuring clarity and readability for a generalist legal audience (e.g., non-specialist scholars, judges, and practitioners). It focuses on making the argument visible in the main text, maintaining a confident, plain voice, and properly balancing supporting material in footnotes with core reasoning in the body. Ideal for final polish passes before submission.

A guide for scholars on structuring academic essays to stake a clear, significant contribution within a broad critical conversation. It teaches how to move beyond simple citation dumps by identifying the core scholarly problem, engaging diverse critical traditions, and pre-empting counter-arguments, ensuring the work resonates with both specialists and generalists in the field.

This guide teaches how to structure the introduction of a scholarly paper to effectively position its unique contribution against the current academic frontier. Instead of writing a general literature review, it focuses on articulating the 'delta'—what the paper does that prior work could not—making the work highly visible to general-interest journal editors and referees.

This skill helps refine a raw concept into a complete, professional talk pitch. It generates multiple strategic angles, analyzes their strengths and weaknesses, suggests compelling titles, and drafts both short abstracts and long CFP descriptions. A mandatory checkpoint ensures the user selects the optimal narrative path before finalization, making it ideal for conference submission preparation.

This skill takes validated talk angles and titles to produce a comprehensive, professional presentation package. It generates a detailed 5-act narrative script with embedded speaker notes, a precise slide-by-slide design specification for visual implementation, and a ready-to-use AI prompt (Kimi) for automated slide generation. Ideal for transforming raw ideas into polished, actionable presentations.

This skill compiles comprehensive revision sheets from multiple inputs (pitch, slides, concepts). It structures the talk material into an actionable document containing quick navigation, a master concept table with URLs, a Q&A cheat-sheet, a glossary, and external resources list. Ideal for speakers who need to prepare for Q&A sessions or create shareable post-talk reference materials.

A rigorous methodology for systematic problem diagnosis and consequential decision-making. It operates in two modes: Problem Analysis (for root cause identification using IS/IS-NOT contrast) and Decision Analysis (for prioritizing options by screening MUSTs, weighting WANTs, and assessing adverse consequences). Ideal for complex engineering and business scenarios requiring structured evidence and risk assessment.

This technique forces rigorous critical evaluation by simulating the construction of the strongest, most faithful opposing argument (the 'steel man'). Instead of accepting weak counterarguments or falling into confirmation bias, the process generates a robust adversarial case. It is essential for high-stakes decision reviews, architectural debates, and major proposal vetting, ensuring that the final decision is based on a comprehensive understanding of all risks and conditions for change.
