A comprehensive project management guide detailing the entire lifecycle of a high-stakes sensing systems research submission. It provides a detailed backward planning timeline, covering critical milestones from initial venue and track selection, hardware freezing, field deployment logistics, double-blind review, and final submission to major conferences like SenSys. It emphasizes managing the critical path of field work and data artifacts.

This guide provides structured rules for authors writing sensor-systems or information-processing papers. It emphasizes leading with the physical sensing problem, requiring real-hardware measurements for energy, latency, and ground truth, and adhering to strict academic formatting constraints. Use this when revising submissions to ensure technical depth and practical deployability.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for positioning robotics research papers for top-tier conferences like IROS, ICRA, and CoRL. It teaches authors how to audit novelty by comparing their work against multiple related systems—not just the nearest component—and how to handle archival overlap, concurrent work, and anonymity requirements in double-blind review processes. It emphasizes defining the system contribution across multiple robotics lanes.

A comprehensive guide on achieving scientific reproducibility for complex computer architecture and system simulations. It details how to manage and pin all dependencies—including simulator commit hashes, local patches, workload binaries, hardware states, and post-processing scripts—to ensure that every reported figure and number can be accurately regenerated, regardless of time or environment changes.

A comprehensive guide for responding to peer reviews and compiling revision manuscripts for high-impact academic journals, specifically tailored for the Journal on Communications (JOC). It teaches authors how to structure closed-loop responses (Opinion—Response—Location), maintain a professional tone, provide verifiable evidence, and systematically address complex or conflicting critiques throughout the multi-round publication process.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for achieving high reproducibility in Machine Learning Systems (MLSys) performance claims. It details how to rigorously control sources of non-determinism (e.g., thermal noise, random seeds) and pin the entire technical stack—from hardware and drivers to frameworks and serving policies—to ensure results can be validated by third parties.

A comprehensive guide to modeling the specific peer review cycle of MLSys submissions. It details the OpenReview workflow, the challenges posed by the mixed ML and systems reviewer pool, and provides strategic advice on addressing concerns related to workload representativeness, baseline strength, and evidence scope matching for high-stakes technical papers.

This comprehensive guide provides best practices and an audit checklist for designing robust, real-world experiments in mobile and wireless communication systems. It emphasizes moving beyond simulations, detailing necessary RF setups, quantifiable energy metrics, and reporting statistical distributions to ensure high academic credibility.

Provides a comprehensive methodology for evaluating mobile computing systems. It mandates rigorous, real-device testing, focusing on instrumenting energy consumption, thermal behavior, latency distribution (tails), and memory limits. This guide ensures academic submissions are credible, repeatable, and compare performance against robust, tuned baselines.

A comprehensive guide for authors planning submissions to MobiSys. It details the two-round review process, the specialized pool of systems-and-services reviewers, and critical scoring dimensions such as on-device evidence, energy/latency rigor, and contribution mechanism. Use this to formulate a robust response strategy for every stage, from initial submission to camera-ready.

This guide provides rigorous structural and disciplinary rules for authors submitting mobile-systems research to highly competitive conferences like MobiSys. It emphasizes moving beyond mere superlatives, mandating that all claims must be substantiated by explicit measurements of latency, energy, memory, and thermal budgets on real devices. Learn how to structure the paper to survive deep technical and systems-level peer review.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting biomedical engineering research. It assesses the manuscript's fit, biomedical significance, and translational relevance against Nature's rigorous standards. Covers scope, validation requirements (benchtop vs. clinical), structural guidelines, and official submission checklists for devices, biomaterials, and engineered systems.
