A comprehensive guide for authors targeting top-tier systems and control journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control (TAC). It helps authors evaluate the fit of their manuscript, transitioning from application-heavy case studies to general, provable theoretical theorems with rigorous mathematical proofs and explicitly stated assumptions. Essential for manuscript re-framing and academic submission readiness.

This tool guides authors on the rigorous standards required for submission to IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (TIE). It focuses on re-framing purely theoretical work into concrete, industrially relevant advances in control, power electronics, and mechatronics. It emphasizes the necessity of experimental validation, system-level industrial context, and adherence to specific journal guidelines.

This skill guides authors on submitting power conversion manuscripts to IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics (TPEL). It evaluates the manuscript's fit by checking for the required balance between theoretical novelty and rigorous experimental validation, covering topics like converter topologies, control methods, and wide-bandgap devices. Use it when evaluating a paper's suitability for TPEL or re-framing a design from a single build to a generalizable, highly benchmarked contribution.

A specialized tool designed for researchers targeting the International Journal of Plasticity (IJP). It guides authors on whether their manuscript—especially those related to plastic deformation—is a strong fit, focusing on the necessity of developing a rigorous, constitutive model and validating it against experimental data. Use this skill to re-frame observational studies into impactful theoretical contributions.

This tool guides authors in assessing whether their fluid mechanics manuscript is a suitable fit for the Journal of Fluid Mechanics (JFM). It emphasizes the need for fundamental physical understanding (e.g., new scaling laws, instability mechanisms) over mere demonstration of applied methods or devices. It covers rigorous standards for computation, experimentation, and theoretical analysis, serving as a crucial pre-submission framing and venue-selection resource.

This comprehensive guide is designed to help authors assess the methodological and theoretical suitability of their manuscript for Transportation Research Part B. It emphasizes that the core contribution must be a generalizable method, model, or theorem (e.g., in traffic flow, network optimization, or choice modeling), rather than a simple applied case study. Use this tool for venue selection, manuscript re-framing, and ensuring rigorous analytical justification.
