A comprehensive guide detailing the systematic process of security alert triage within Elastic Security SIEM. Learn how to classify, prioritize, and investigate potential threats using Kibana, advanced ES|QL queries, and ECS-normalized data. This workflow is crucial for SOC analysts to rapidly determine true positives, manage alert queues, and ensure effective incident response.

A comprehensive security assessment guide and script to test API rate limit vulnerabilities. It evaluates if an API's security controls can be bypassed using advanced techniques such as IP spoofing (manipulating X-Forwarded-For headers), HTTP method variations, and endpoint path traversal. Designed for penetration testing, it helps assess resilience against brute-force or resource exhaustion attacks, aligning with OWASP API Top 10 findings.

This skill simulates Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks and ARP cache poisoning using advanced tools like Ettercap and Scapy. It is designed exclusively for authorized, controlled lab environments or penetration tests. Use cases include validating the efficacy of Dynamic ARP Inspection (DAI), assessing port security mechanisms, and testing whether IDS/IPS or SIEM systems detect Layer 2 spoofing attempts.

This guide details how to configure and execute deep, authenticated vulnerability scans using OpenVAS/Greenbone Vulnerability Management (GVM). By utilizing valid credentials (SSH, SMB, or ESXi), users can log into target systems to detect local vulnerabilities, missing security patches, and misconfigurations, which are typically missed by unauthenticated scans. Essential for professional security auditing and penetration testing.

This guide details how to perform authenticated (credentialed) vulnerability scans using industry-leading tools like Nessus, Qualys, and OpenVAS. By utilizing service credentials (SSH, SMB, WinRM, SNMPv3), the scan moves beyond superficial banner checks to deeply inspect installed patches, configurations, and local system settings on Linux, Windows, and network devices. This is crucial for detecting vulnerabilities that unauthenticated scans often miss, significantly improving security assessment accuracy.

CAPE is an open-source sandbox derived from Cuckoo, designed for automated dynamic malware analysis. It features advanced behavioral instrumentation, capturing system changes, network traffic (PCAP), and specialized parsers to extract malware configurations (e.g., Emotet, Cobalt Strike). Use this skill for incident response, security assessments, and validating security controls against complex payloads and evasion techniques.

Cartography syncs multi-cloud assets (AWS, GCP, Azure) into a Neo4j graph database. It maps relationships like IAM chains, network paths, and cross-account trusts, allowing security teams to conduct comprehensive asset inventories, identify complex attack paths, and generate detailed security reports across heterogeneous cloud environments.

A comprehensive guide for conducting cloud forensics investigations across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This workflow demonstrates how to preserve volatile and non-volatile evidence, including snapshotting volumes, capturing instance metadata, and collecting critical logs (CloudTrail, Activity Log, Audit Log) to trace unauthorized access and analyze security breaches.

Provides detailed, cloud-native procedures for containing security incidents across major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The guide outlines how to revoke compromised IAM credentials, isolate resources using network security groups and ACLs, and preserve forensic evidence through snapshots and policy enforcement, minimizing lateral movement risk during an active breach.

This skill guides users on performing deep runtime threat detection and forensics in cloud-native environments using Falco. It leverages Falco YAML rules to monitor syscalls, detecting critical security events such as shell spawning, file tampering (e.g., /etc/shadow), network anomalies, and privilege escalation within containers and Kubernetes clusters. Ideal for incident response, security auditing, and validating container runtime security controls.

This tool audits Kubernetes pod configurations to detect potential container escape misconfigurations. It checks for dangerous settings like privileged flags, excessive capabilities, host path mounts, shared namespaces, and cgroup abuses. Use it for comprehensive security assessments, compliance checking, or generating pre-enforcement security posture reports.

This comprehensive guide provides best practices for hardening container images, dramatically minimizing the attack surface in production environments. It covers advanced techniques such as implementing multi-stage builds, using distroless images, running containers as non-root users, and configuring read-only filesystems. Adherence to CIS Docker Benchmark and secure DevSecOps practices are key focuses.
