This guide provides a structured methodology for authors to articulate the core contribution of their Information Systems (IS) research for top-tier academic journals, such as MIS Quarterly. It ensures that the paper explicitly states the new knowledge produced (e.g., behavioral mechanisms, design principles, economic effects), justifies the manuscript's length, and rigorously connects theoretical advances with practical and societal implications, thereby avoiding claims of being merely 'incremental' or 'technical' exercises.

A comprehensive guide for executing, evaluating, and reporting the empirical core of MIS Quarterly manuscripts. It covers specialized methods for Behavioral IS (PLS-SEM), Economics of IS (causal identification), Design Science (artifact evaluation), and qualitative studies, ensuring full transparency and replicability for top-tier academic submissions.

A comprehensive guide for structuring and defending the methodology section of an academic manuscript, particularly for MIS Quarterly submissions. It helps researchers choose the appropriate design (Behavioral, Design Science, Economics of IS, Organizational) and addresses critical methodological rigor, such as causal identification, common-method bias, and thorough evaluation planning.

This guide provides comprehensive best practices for creating self-contained, impactful tables and figures specifically for submissions to the MIS Quarterly journal. It covers different research traditions (Behavioral, Design Science, Econ of IS) and focuses on managing the strict page budget, ensuring every exhibit powerfully supports the core argument and meets high academic standards (APA 7).

This guide helps researchers structure and articulate strong theoretical contributions for top-tier MIS journals. It details how theory takes different forms—be it a causal behavioral mechanism, a design theory, or an economic model—depending on the specific MIS research tradition, ensuring hypotheses are derived a priori and the IT artifact is load-bearing.

A comprehensive guide for academic researchers preparing submissions for top-tier Information Systems journals like MIS Quarterly. It helps validate if a research idea is genuinely IT-centric, assigns it to one of the four core IS traditions (Behavioral, Design Science, Economics, Organizational), and selects the optimal manuscript genre to ensure scope and fit for publication.

This workflow serves as a comprehensive router for authors preparing manuscripts for the MIS Quarterly (MISQ). It guides researchers through the entire academic writing lifecycle, ensuring systematic development from initial topic selection and identifying the core IS research tradition (behavioral, design science, economics, or organizational). It maps out the necessary sequence of steps, including theory development, literature positioning, methodology, data analysis, contribution framing, and final submission readiness.

Provides a comprehensive methodology for evaluating mobile computing systems. It mandates rigorous, real-device testing, focusing on instrumenting energy consumption, thermal behavior, latency distribution (tails), and memory limits. This guide ensures academic submissions are credible, repeatable, and compare performance against robust, tuned baselines.

This guide outlines the scope, theoretical expectations, and methodological requirements for submitting high-quality academic research to the Nankai Business Review. It targets studies in strategic management, organizational behavior (OB), HRM, and marketing that build management theory grounded in the Chinese context, requiring strong theoretical contribution and rigorous empirical or qualitative methods.

A comprehensive skill guide for authors targeting Nature Human Behaviour. It assesses the fit of cross-disciplinary behavioral science manuscripts across psychology, neuroscience, economics, and sociology. The guide emphasizes open science practices, including preregistration, large-N designs, causal inference, and mandatory data transparency, ensuring submissions meet the journal's rigorous standards.

This comprehensive skill guides authors through the rigorous process of assessing whether their neuroscience manuscript meets the high conceptual and methodological standards of Nature Neuroscience. It covers journal positioning, required multi-scale evidence (anatomy, physiology, behavior), standard house style, and official submission checklists, ensuring authors understand how to frame their work for top-tier publication.

A comprehensive guide for conducting and reporting rigorous experimental research in social and behavioral sciences. It covers various design types (vignette, lab, field), statistical requirements (effect sizes, power analysis), quality control measures (manipulation checks, confound control), and advanced techniques for establishing causality, ensuring high internal validity for academic publication.
