Biopython provides Python APIs for sequence manipulation, database access, BLAST automation, structural bioinformatics, and phylogenetics, making it ideal for scripting custom pipelines and batch processing in computational molecular biology workflows.

TorchDrug is a modular PyTorch library for graph learning tasks including molecular property prediction, molecule generation, and knowledge graph reasoning. It provides datasets, models, and training engines for building workflows in computational chemistry and biology. Ensure compatibility with PyTorch 1.8-2.0 and Python 3.7-3.10 before implementation.

This skill guides authors in determining the suitability of their manuscripts for the journal Genome Biology. It details the journal's scope, which requires integrating large-scale genomic or epigenomic data with novel computational methods or statistical frameworks. It emphasizes that successful submissions must provide both methodological advances and meaningful biological insights, adhering strictly to standards like open-source code, public data deposition (GEO, SRA, ENCODE), and rigorous benchmarking.

Biopython is a comprehensive Python library designed for computational molecular biology. It provides robust tools for handling biological sequences (DNA, RNA, Protein), structural analysis (PDB), sequence alignment, phylogenetic tree construction, and interfacing with major public databases like NCBI (Entrez). Ideal for researchers performing advanced bioinformatics tasks.
