This guide details best practices for enhancing the credibility of academic manuscripts submitted to scholarly journals, particularly addressing code and data availability. It teaches authors how to proactively provide stable links, checksums, comprehensive reproducibility scripts, and clear licensing statements. The focus is on bolstering trustworthiness for single-blind review processes, even when the journal does not mandate formal artifact badges.

A guide detailing the rigorous standards for data availability and code reproducibility required for academic manuscripts, particularly in demography. It emphasizes depositing data in FAIR-aligned repositories with persistent identifiers (DOI), providing master scripts with full version control, and documenting restricted data access conditions to ensure scientific transparency.

This guide details the requirements for creating a comprehensive replication package for manuscripts submitted to Econometric Society journals. It ensures full reproducibility of all results, including code, data provenance, and parameter settings, adhering to the journal's Data and Code Availability Policy. Key components include a master script, reproducible data, and detailed documentation.

A comprehensive preflight checklist for authors submitting manuscripts to Econometrica. It details strict guidelines on manuscript length (main body and supplemental material), formatting, anonymization protocols, membership requirements, and adhering to the latest Data and Code Availability Policy. Use this guide before submission to ensure full compliance with the journal's standards.

This guide outlines best practices for achieving high levels of research reproducibility for academic papers, particularly in database and systems research. It details methods for pinning dataset versions, logging system environments, mapping empirical claims to verifiable evidence, and structuring availability statements. Adherence ensures the work is robust, transparent, and fully verifiable by the scientific community.

This comprehensive preflight checklist guides researchers through the final essential steps before submitting a manuscript to the European Economic Review (EER). It ensures adherence to Elsevier formatting standards, addresses mandatory replication policies (data/code availability), verifies funding declarations, and confirms all necessary fees and ethical statements are in place. Use this guide as the ultimate final check before pressing submit.

This tool guides researchers through the final pre-submission checklist for academic journals like EPSL. It verifies critical mechanical elements—such as word count adherence, data availability statements with DOIs, declarations of competing interests, and file format compliance—before uploading to the journal's editorial manager. It ensures the manuscript passes all technical gates.

A comprehensive guide for environmental science manuscripts, detailing the standards required for data reporting and ensuring research reproducibility. It instructs authors on assembling Supporting Information (SI), writing data-availability statements, and depositing raw data, code, and protocols into recognized public repositories (e.g., Zenodo, GenBank).

A comprehensive final checklist for submitting scientific manuscripts to ACS (American Chemical Society) via the Publishing Center. It verifies mandatory elements such as the Table of Contents (TOC) graphic, word count adherence, supporting information, data availability statements, and ethical disclosures, ensuring the submission meets all journal guidelines before final upload.

A comprehensive final checklist designed for academic researchers preparing manuscripts for scholarly journal submission (e.g., double-blind review processes). This guide ensures adherence to complex publisher standards, covering mandatory elements such as complete manuscript anonymization, drafting the Data Availability Statement (DAS), assembling replication packages for statistical work, and meeting strict formatting and word count requirements. Use this before final upload to avoid avoidable desk returns.

Guides authors on meeting the rigorous transparency standards required by the European Sociological Review (ESR). It details how to prepare a Data Availability Statement (DAS) and a replication package for statistical and computational manuscripts. The guide covers everything from documenting data sources and versions to handling restricted administrative data, ensuring that the research process is fully reproducible and traceable.

This guide assists researchers in drafting a highly structured and scope-specific cover letter for journal submissions, particularly targeting publications like Field Crops Research. It emphasizes establishing clear scope fit (field-based, multi-environment), articulating the novel quantitative contribution, and confirming essential submission declarations (originality, data availability). Using this skill ensures the letter meets the stringent requirements necessary to pass the initial editor scope check and improve acceptance rates.
