Skill UI

GeoMaster is a comprehensive geospatial science skill that guides remote sensing, GIS, spatial analysis, and machine learning workflows for Earth observation and planetary data projects, covering satellite imagery, vector/raster math, point clouds, terrain, hydrology, and cloud-native data stacks.

This tool helps authors determine if their specialized research in earth, environmental, or planetary sciences is a suitable fit for the Communications Earth & Environment journal. It guides authors on framing the work for a broad readership, ensuring solid completeness, technical rigor, and adherence to Nature Portfolio's data standards, helping to avoid common desk-reject issues.

This skill guides authors on submitting manuscripts to Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It evaluates whether quantitative research in geochemistry, geophysics, or planetary science presents a generalizable process or mechanism of broad scientific interest, adhering to Elsevier's rigorous house style and data policies. Use it as a fit/venue-selection tool for re-framing specialized regional studies into broadly relevant scientific mechanisms.

This skill guides authors on submitting original, high-quality, and reusable Earth System datasets (observations, reanalysis, model outputs) as primary publications. It assesses whether the work fits the criteria of a 'data paper,' requiring open deposition in a FAIR repository with a persistent DOI, detailed provenance documentation, and rigorous quality control. It serves as a venue-selection and manuscript re-framing tool.

This advanced routing skill guides researchers through the complex process of submitting manuscripts in agriculture, environment, and earth science. It does not replace a single journal profile, but rather classifies the work by sub-field, contribution type, and evidence shape. By evaluating pre-routing gates (e.g., evidence strength, scale match), it determines the best specialist venue for re-framing and submission.

This guide provides detailed reporting norms for reducing and analyzing complex Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL) data, specifically focusing on isotope geochemistry and geochronology. It mandates full uncertainty budgeting, proper statistical interpretation (e.g., MSWD, weighted means), and thorough model diagnostics to ensure results are scientifically defensible and reproducible.

This guide provides rigorous standards for developing figures and tables in Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It emphasizes making complex scientific arguments legible to a cross-disciplinary audience by mandating visible uncertainty (error ellipses, error bars), providing spatial context, and adhering to strict sub-field conventions (e.g., MSWD, depth scales). It teaches how to structure exhibits so that figures carry the argument, while detailed data resides in the supplementary material.

This guide instructs authors on how to craft a robust, cross-disciplinary gap statement for high-level earth science journals. It teaches that a paper's contribution must be framed by triangulating evidence across multiple sub-fields (geochemistry, geophysics, geodynamics, etc.) and competing hypotheses, rather than focusing solely on a single methodological community.

This guide provides best practices for ensuring scientific reproducibility in Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL) manuscripts. It details how to structure supplementary materials, data tables, and analytical code to comply with modern research data policies (FAIR principles). It directs authors on depositing data into recognized community repositories (e.g., PANGAEA, Zenodo, EarthChem), ensuring that the paper's findings can be independently validated by any reader.

This guide details the rigorous, multi-stage peer review process for Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). It covers everything from the initial subject-editor desk screening (evaluating significance and fit) to the specialized technical audits performed by expert referees in intersecting sub-fields. Use this to stress-test your manuscript pre-submission, anticipate potential weaknesses, and strategize responses to reviewers' critiques, significantly hardening your paper for high-impact academic publication.

Provides a comprehensive strategy for responding to major journal revisions, especially in Earth and Planetary Science. It guides authors on how to satisfy conflicting technical demands from multiple reviewers by routing detailed evidence to supplements while keeping the main text concise, persuasive, and compliant with strict formatting rules.

A comprehensive guide for planning rigorous scientific studies in Earth and Planetary Sciences, covering sampling, analytical campaigns, experimental runs, and modeling. It ensures that research designs are robust, addressing critical elements like sample context, traceability to reference materials, replication levels, and falsifiability before data collection begins. Essential for high-impact scientific publishing.
