Skill UI

This tool assists startup founders and C-level executives in making critical AI strategy decisions. It evaluates whether to use APIs, fine-tune models, or build from scratch using TCO analysis. It also classifies AI use cases under regulations like the EU AI Act and US state laws, calculates self-hosting economics, and recommends appropriate AI hiring roles.

This skill analyzes direct versus partner channel economics by calculating fully loaded costs, ROI, and optimal channel mixes. It helps commercial leaders evaluate profitability, determine cost-to-serve, and make data-driven decisions on channel strategy. Includes sensitivity analysis and verdicts for doubling down or exiting channels based on quarterly reviews.

Expertise in managing product returns and reverse logistics, covering return authorization, receiving and inspection, disposition decisions, refund processing, fraud detection, and vendor recovery claims. Based on 15+ years of experience as a return operations manager, providing a staged framework, disposition economics, fraud pattern recognition, and vendor return processes. Use for handling product returns, reverse logistics, refund decisions, return fraud detection, and warranty claims.

This skill guides users through the process of assessing if their academic manuscript aligns with the scope and standards of *Accounting and Economics Research*. It covers journal positioning, required structure (abstract, citations), methodological rigor, and common pitfalls, helping researchers optimize their writing for specific academic venues.

A comprehensive guide for academic researchers aiming to submit papers to the top accounting journal, *Accounting Research*. This skill helps authors identify if their research focus aligns with core accounting mechanisms, such as disclosure quality, auditing standards, and regulatory changes, distinguishing it from general corporate finance or economics.

This guide helps researchers determine if their applied microeconomics work meets the rigorous standards of the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). It serves as a pre-submission checklist, detailing the required depth of causal identification (e.g., RCTs, DiD, IV), methodological robustness, expected manuscript structure, and avoiding common desk-reject pitfalls. Essential for high-quality academic writing.

This skill guides authors through the rigorous requirements of American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. It helps evaluate whether an applied economics manuscript meets the journal's high bar, focusing specifically on the joint criteria of sound causal identification (DiD, IV, RDD) and clear, impactful policy relevance. Use it to re-frame arguments and check against best practices for policy evaluation.

This skill serves as a comprehensive guide for authors targeting top-tier macroeconomics journals, such as the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. It analyzes a manuscript's fit, required methodology (e.g., DSGE, HANK, empirical identification), structural requirements, and common pitfalls (desk-reject heuristics). It is essential for researchers needing to refine their academic research and framing to meet rigorous journal standards.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for authors preparing microeconomic theory, game theory, or theoretical IO manuscripts for submission to the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics. It analyzes journal fit, required theoretical rigor, methodological standards, house style, and potential pitfalls (desk-reject heuristics), helping authors refine their work before formal submission.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for defending causal identification claims in empirical microeconomics, tailored for top-tier journals like AEJ: Applied. It covers modern techniques and anti-patterns for RCTs, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity (RDD), and Instrumental Variables (IV), ensuring the mapping from variation to the causal estimand is explicit, defensible, and falsifiable.

A comprehensive guide for academic researchers responding to R&R or conditional acceptance decisions for the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). This skill structures the response-to-referees letter and revision plan, emphasizing the triage of reviewer comments, adherence to editor priorities (especially concerning identification and robustness), and maintaining a professional, evidence-based tone. It helps authors transform critical feedback into a concrete, actionable revision strategy.

This guide outlines the mandatory steps and components required to assemble a robust, reproducible data and code replication package for submissions to the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics (AEJ: Applied). It ensures compliance with the stringent AEA Data and Code Availability Policy, covering data provenance, master scripts, and version control. This package must be built iteratively, not at the acceptance stage.
