A comprehensive checklist for authors submitting to the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ). This guide walks users through critical pre-submission steps, ensuring proper masking, adherence to APA 7th edition guidelines, and compliance with journal-specific requirements (e.g., length, abstract word count) before uploading to ScholarOne Manuscripts.

This guide outlines the strict transparency and data availability requirements for manuscripts submitted to the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ). It ensures adherence to AERA standards for reporting empirical social science research (both quantitative and qualitative) and the AERA Code of Ethics. It details how authors must make findings reproducible, whether by providing code and data access paths, or by documenting an inspectable analytic trail.

This tool acts as an orchestrator for academic manuscripts intended for the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ). It guides users through the entire writing lifecycle, determining the correct next step based on the current development stage and the paper's dominant education-research lens (e.g., policy, teaching, development). It is designed to ensure the contribution is pitched to the whole field, not just a subfield.

A comprehensive style guide for polishing and refining academic manuscripts intended for the American Educational Research Journal (AERJ). It ensures strict adherence to APA 7th edition standards, improves clarity for a broad academic audience, and guides authors on structuring the contribution, managing abstract length (100-120 words), and meeting strict page limits.

A comprehensive guide detailing the advanced statistical standards required for publishing in top educational psychology journals. It covers modeling nested data (multilevel/SEM), reporting educationally meaningful effect sizes with confidence intervals, testing theoretical mechanisms (mediation/moderation), and ensuring full methodological disclosure (JARS). This resource is crucial for researchers aiming for high-impact, reproducible empirical studies.

A comprehensive guide for academic writers on how to structure the Introduction of a manuscript for top-tier educational psychology journals. It teaches authors how to move beyond simple literature reviews by precisely defining the open question, identifying the gap in the literature, and clearly stating the novel contribution and theoretical advance of their study.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for meeting modern academic publishing standards, particularly those required by educational psychology journals. It outlines mandatory requirements for ensuring research reproducibility, including depositing data, materials, and analysis code in trusted repositories with persistent identifiers (DOIs), adhering to JARS reporting standards, and documenting preregistration status.

This guide provides a comprehensive strategy for handling major revisions (R&R) for high-stakes academic journals like the Journal of Educational Psychology. It covers methodological rigor improvements, structuring the response letter, managing word counts, and maintaining academic transparency while addressing every reviewer comment.

This resource simulates the rigorous peer review process of a top journal, focusing on educational relevance, theoretical mechanism, design rigor (especially nested data analysis), and transparency standards (JARS, preregistration). Use this guide to stress-test your manuscript before submission, preemptively address common rejection patterns, or interpret a complex decision letter, ensuring your work meets the highest academic standards.

This skill assists researchers in creating methodologically rigorous study designs for educational psychology manuscripts, especially when dealing with nested data structures (e.g., students within classes within schools). It guides users in matching the unit of randomization, power, and analysis to the correct cluster level. Focus areas include ensuring robust cluster-level power, establishing ecological validity, developing pre-analysis plans, and adhering to preregistration standards.

A comprehensive guide for structuring quantitative exhibits for scholarly manuscripts, specifically tailored for educational psychology journals. It focuses on adhering to APA 7th edition standards, accurately presenting model-based results, effect sizes with confidence intervals (CIs), growth trajectories, and ensuring full anonymization for masked review. It teaches researchers how to make complex statistical arguments legible and reproducible.

A guide for structuring rigorous academic manuscripts in educational psychology. It teaches researchers how to state a clear psychological mechanism, derive directional and testable hypotheses, and properly distinguish between confirmatory (preregistered) and exploratory analyses, adhering to high academic standards.
