Skill UI

This skill guides users through transforming vague ideas into sharp, defensible, and rigorously structured academic arguments. It emphasizes explicitly stating a deniable thesis, laying out numbered premises, verifying logical validity, and ensuring the soundness of all supporting claims. It is essential for advanced academic writing in fields like philosophy.

This skill guides authors on positioning a physics manuscript for Nature Physics. It details the journal's unique editorial culture, emphasizing that submissions must demonstrate genuine conceptual advances across subfields, rather than just incremental precision. It covers scope, evidence standards, and structural requirements for cross-disciplinary communication.

Build fillable Word .docx forms using real Content Controls (SDT), legacy FormField checkboxes, MERGEFIELD mail-merge placeholders and document protection, so only designated fields stay editable while the rest is locked.

Resolve free-text scientific labels to ontology IDs and validate existing CURIEs using EBI OLS4, Bioregistry, and Identifiers.org. Supports annotating biological fields like tissue, disease, and phenotype. Ensures metadata accuracy for submissions to GEO, ENA, and BioSamples by checking obsolescence and prefix correctness.

This skill guides authors submitting work related to Operations Research (OR). It helps assess whether a manuscript provides a genuine theoretical or methodological advance in fields like optimization, stochastic processes, queueing theory, and mathematical modeling. It emphasizes the necessity of rigorous proofs, mathematical depth, and positioning the contribution against existing OR literature, rather than merely presenting a case study application.

A comprehensive guide for positioning academic manuscripts within the literature of Organization Science. It teaches authors to move beyond simply identifying research gaps (gap-spotting) and instead focus on problematizing existing assumptions and joining established, interdisciplinary scholarly conversations. This involves bridging micro and macro levels and integrating theories from diverse fields like sociology, economics, and psychology.

This skill provides comprehensive guidance for authors considering submitting a large-scale, monograph-length review to Physics Reports. It covers journal positioning, required scope across all physics subfields, the rigorous evidence bar, house style, and submission checklist. Use this tool to help structure and refine an article intended to become a definitive, self-contained academic reference.

A comprehensive guide for authors to pinpoint the unique quantitative contribution (the 'delta') of their manuscript. It teaches how to articulate the specific gap closed relative to prior empirical, structural, and methodological work, ensuring the paper is correctly positioned for target journals like QE, distinguishing it from related fields.

A comprehensive guide for structuring the Related Work section for top-tier recommender systems conferences (RecSys). It advises authors on auditing novelty by positioning their contribution against adjacent research fields (e.g., SIGIR, KDD, WSDM), addressing critical lines (like reproducibility and off-policy evaluation), and ensuring the work is technically distinct from prior or concurrent studies.

This guide teaches authors how to refine the positioning of their manuscript for top academic finance journals (like RFS, JF, JFE). It moves beyond simple literature reviews by defining a precise, falsifiable 'delta'—a unique gap—against established canonical theories and the most recent competitor research. Mastering this skill is critical for successfully defending novelty claims in competitive academic fields.

A comprehensive guide for positioning academic papers in highly competitive technical fields, particularly networking and distributed systems. Learn how to systematically sweep major venues (SIGCOMM, NSDI, MobiCom, etc.), rigorously prove every prior work via dblp/ACM DL, and articulate clear novelty by distinguishing core mechanisms from mere engineering polish. Essential for top-tier conference submissions.

A comprehensive guide for structuring research papers, particularly in computer graphics and visualization fields (like SIGGRAPH). It dictates how to match technical claims (e.g., 'higher quality,' 'faster') to verifiable evidence, including head-to-head comparisons against State-of-the-Art (SOTA), detailed metric reporting (PSNR, SSIM, Hausdorff), performance timing linked to specific hardware, and robust user studies. Essential for achieving academic rigor and pre-empting domain reviewer objections.
