Skill UI

A comprehensive skill designed for authors targeting Science Signaling, a leading journal in cellular signal transduction. This tool provides guidance on the journal's scope, required mechanistic depth, quantitative rigor, house style, and specific evidence standards (e.g., loss/gain-of-function, in vivo evidence). It is crucial for venue selection and restructuring manuscripts to fit the high standards of AAAS Science family publications.

This guide details the process of achieving ACM badges (Available, Functional, Reproduced) for academic artifacts at SenSys. It emphasizes creating a hardware-optional evaluation path, allowing reviewers to verify results and functionality without access to the original testbed. Key steps include implementing graded replay tiers, documenting data provenance (energy, traces), and performing smoke-runs.

A comprehensive guide for packaging and evaluating research artifacts for academic conferences like SIGMETRICS. It details the requirements for achieving ACM Badges (Functional, Reusable, Reproduced) by ensuring the packaged simulation can regenerate key figures and results on a clean machine, moving beyond mere tool execution.

This guide details the rigorous academic review process for ACM Symposium on Cloud Computing (SoCC) submissions. It explains the dual-anonymous, two-round review structure, the importance of incorporating both systems performance and data measurement rigor (including tail latency and cost), and how the rebuttal period functions. Essential reading for authors aiming to publish in top-tier cloud computing venues.

This guide details the structured process for preparing and evaluating research artifacts for major academic conferences like SOSP. It covers badge targeting (Functional, Reusable), cooperative evaluation expectations, and best practices for packaging system-level artifacts, including defining tiers (runnable, provided-hardware, documented-only) and conducting 'kick-the-tires' smoke tests.

This tool acts as an orchestrator for Social Psychology Quarterly (SPQ) submissions, guiding authors through the entire manuscript lifecycle. It routes the user based on the research stage, the sociological tradition (e.g., symbolic interaction, social structure), and the article type (Article vs. Note). Its core function is ensuring the paper maintains the critical link between the individual and society, directing the user to the appropriate specialized skill for design, theory, data, and writing.

This guide outlines the rigorous process for submitting and evaluating research artifacts for academic conferences (TACAS/ETAPS). It details the mandatory two-round evaluation system, covering tool-demonstration papers and general research case studies. Authors must package their work to achieve badges like Available, Functional, and Reusable, ensuring maximum reproducibility and environmental compatibility on a clean virtual machine.

This skill guides authors on positioning information retrieval (IR) work for the Text REtrieval Conference (TREC). It functions as a venue-selection and manuscript re-framing tool, ensuring the submission aligns with TREC's focus on shared evaluation tracks, test collections, and NIST-style benchmarking. It helps authors structure evidence, understand reviewer expectations, and distinguish the work from general CS conference submissions.

This skill guides authors through the demanding requirements of publishing in The Plant Journal. It evaluates whether a plant-science manuscript provides a fully resolved, mechanistic gene-to-function narrative. It checks for necessary evidence across genetics, biochemistry, and cell biology, ensuring the work meets the highest standards of molecular rigor for top-tier scientific publication.

A comprehensive guide for structuring the 'Related Work' section for top-tier HCI conferences (e.g., UIST). This document emphasizes that the section must function as a novelty proof, not a literature survey. It teaches authors to organize content by capability delta, utilize detailed comparison tables, and trace three critical lineages: technique, toolkit, and commercial practice, ensuring the work's unique contribution is clearly established.

A comprehensive guide detailing the mandatory and optional evaluation phases for academic security artifacts, such as those required for USENIX Security. It covers Phase-1 (availability) checks and Phase-2 (functionality, reproducibility) requirements. Provides best practices for structuring code, managing technical hazards (e.g., dangerous-by-default behavior), and ensuring verifiable, reproducible results for peer review.

A comprehensive guide detailing when and how to structure theoretical models in development economics research, particularly for World Bank Economic Review submissions. It emphasizes that models must serve a functional purpose—such as interpreting empirical coefficients, running policy counterfactuals, or aggregating to welfare statements—rather than being decorative. Key principles cover parameter identification, matching structural frictions to the local setting, and handling counterfactual assumptions (Lucas critique).
