This guide clarifies what constitutes an 'artifact' for pure-theory venues like ITCS. It emphasizes that the core deliverable is not code or functional components, but the mathematical argument itself. Successful evaluation relies on providing complete, self-contained proofs within the submitted PDF, along with citing dependencies precisely. It details how to handle minor computational content to ensure static, verifiable checks.

A comprehensive preflight checklist designed for submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Business & Economic Statistics (JBES). This guide ensures authors have verified all necessary components—including the data/code supplement, conflict disclosures, and cover letter targeting—against the latest academic standards. It functions as a critical final review step before formal submission, emphasizing the need to cross-reference live journal guidelines.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for constructing formal academic models, tailored for top-tier management journals. It emphasizes the four essential components—decision variables, constraints, objective functions, and assumptions—while providing detailed guidelines on ensuring model completeness, mathematical solvability, and, most critically, the defensibility of every assumption against academic scrutiny.

A comprehensive framework for conducting and structuring robustness checks in academic papers, particularly in econometrics and behavioral economics. It guides researchers on identifying specific threats to the core parameter (e.g., functional form dependence, incentive bias, sample selection) and organizing tests by threat, ensuring the findings are statistically reliable and withstand expert scrutiny.

A comprehensive guide for researchers developing models in decision theory under risk and uncertainty. It outlines how to strengthen theoretical representations by ensuring the model is anchored by clear axiomatic foundations, a mathematically tractable functional form, and crucially, verifiable behavioral content (i.e., what the model predicts or forbids). This helps bridge the gap between abstract theory and empirical data.

A comprehensive guide for authors packaging their accepted MLSys research artifacts. It details strategies for achieving Availability, Functional, and Reproducible badges by correctly structuring the submission, handling hardware dependencies, and writing the detailed Artifact Appendix. Essential for ensuring scientific claims are independently verifiable.

A comprehensive guide for submitting research artifacts to the MobiSys Artifact Evaluation Committee (AEC). It details the process for achieving three independent ACM badges (Available, Functional, Results Reproduced). Emphasis is placed on creating fully reproducible, script-first workflows, designing for hardware-optional environments, and maintaining strict anonymity during review.

This guide functions as a sophisticated workflow router for authors targeting submission to Molecular Cell. It diagnoses the current stage of a manuscript (e.g., missing data, weak mechanism, need for rebuttal) and recommends the precise next specialized skill needed to address bottlenecks. It ensures the manuscript meets the high bar of mechanistic depth and orthogonal validation required by top-tier molecular biology journals.

A comprehensive guide for authors assessing whether their genomics or genetics research meets the rigorous standards of Nature Genetics. It details the journal's scope (GWAS, functional genomics, rare variants), the required methodology and evidence bar, and essential house style guidelines for submission.

This skill helps authors assess if their structural or molecular biology manuscript meets the high standards of Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. It guides manuscript framing, required evidence (e.g., high-resolution structures, functional assays), and adherence to the journal's strict guidelines. The core focus is ensuring that the biological mechanism, not just the structure obtained, is the primary finding.

A comprehensive guide for researchers preparing robust, reproducible, and ethically sound artifacts for major security conferences. It details how to claim 'Available,' 'Functional,' and 'Reproduced' badges, structure the submission package, and responsibly gate dangerous exploit code while adhering to disclosure embargoes.

This framework guides researchers in transforming platform-specific findings into abstract, portable concepts or functional mechanisms. It moves beyond mere correlation by helping define the scope, definition, and underlying process (mechanism) of a digital-media phenomenon, making the argument applicable to different contexts and technologies.
