This guide helps scholars rigorously defend the methodological design of academic papers, particularly in International Relations and Comparative Politics. It covers advanced techniques such as process tracing, case selection logic, quantitative cross-national panel data analysis (DID, IV, RDD), and experimental design. Its core purpose is to strengthen causal claims by explicitly addressing selection bias, defining scope conditions, and ruling out major rival explanations.

Details the rigorous selection and peer-review process for top-tier academic journals, such as those in comparative politics or international relations. This guide helps authors pre-empt common rejection reasons—including scope mismatch, lack of theoretical engagement, or unclear methodology—by structuring their manuscripts according to high academic standards (e.g., triple-blind anonymity, comparative focus, and ethical compliance).

This skill serves as a comprehensive guide for academic authors, helping them pressure-test if their research topic is appropriate for specialist journals in comparative politics and international relations (IR). It helps determine if a project is substantive, comparative (travels across cases/systems), theory-advancing, and falls within the journal's core scope, ensuring the work meets high academic standards.

A comprehensive framework for ensuring reproducibility in Web Search and Data Mining (WSDM) research. It addresses unique challenges associated with behavioral data, covering data provenance, temporal splitting discipline, bias assumption reporting, statistical rigor (seeds, variance), and the 'honesty ladder' for non-reproducible results, helping researchers publish robust and verifiable work.

A comprehensive guide for researchers to evaluate if their project aligns with the niche scope of WSDM. It details the 'two-gate test' (web/social data focus and practical/principled approach) and provides a routing table to help authors determine the most appropriate conference venue (e.g., SIGIR, KDD, RecSys) for their work.

This skill guides authors through the complex process of law-review placement, focusing on multi-submission market strategies and timing. It provides critical, YLJ-specific advice, covering seasonal cycles (Spring/Fall), the proper use of offers for expediting, and adherence to YLJ's unique submission rules (e.g., no competitive advantage from expediting, anonymized review). It helps authors optimize the entire submission campaign.

This skill guides legal scholars through a systematic preemption check to ensure their academic claim is genuinely novel and not covered by prior work. It simulates comprehensive searches across specialized databases like SSRN, Westlaw, HeinOnline, and Google Scholar. The process helps users accurately draft the critical "what's new" contribution paragraph by classifying the relationship between their claim and existing scholarship.

A comprehensive checklist for authors submitting to academic law journals, specifically tailored for The Yale Law Journal (YLJ). It guides users through critical pre-upload steps, including mandatory anonymization checks, adhering to strict length caps (Article, Essay, Forum), verifying Bluebook citation apparatus, and ensuring the use of the official submission portal. This tool helps prevent common submission failures before the final upload.

This skill provides a rigorous fit test for legal scholarship ideas targeting The Yale Law Journal (YLJ). It helps users determine if their claim has generalist significance beyond a single niche, whether the argument is substantial enough (a claim, not a survey), and what the appropriate format (Article, Essay, Forum) should be. It is crucial for pre-drafting evaluation.

Helps marketers choose and interpret attribution models, reconcile conflicting conversion numbers across platforms, and build first-party attribution to identify channels that truly drive revenue.

This guide helps polish academic manuscripts for submission to specialized journals, such as the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI). It ensures adherence to institutional house conventions (numbered sections, author-date referencing, concise abstract) and, critically, structures the argumentation to explain the underlying economic mechanism *before* presenting formal econometric specifications, elevating the paper's scholarly rigor.

This guide helps researchers structure and refine academic papers for the Journal on Communications (JOC). It provides a framework for separating core, decision-making content (main text) from supporting details (appendices/supplementary material), ensuring the manuscript remains scientifically rigorous yet adheres to strict length constraints (e.g., ~12000 characters). It teaches how to use a 'decisive three-question' standard.
