A comprehensive guide for authors preparing manuscripts for top-tier academic journals, especially in finance (e.g., The Journal of Finance). It details how to anticipate potential objections from handling editors and expert referees, covering areas like identification credibility, robustness checks, and general interest framing. This tool helps optimize the paper's structure pre-submission to maximize acceptance chances.

A comprehensive guide for handling endogeneity, selection bias, and causal inference in empirical finance research, particularly targeting the high standards of journals like JFE. It details advanced econometric methodologies including Difference-in-Differences (DID), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Instrumental Variables (IV), ensuring your causal claims are rigorously defensible against referee scrutiny.

This router guides authors through the comprehensive, step-by-step workflow required for submitting a high-quality empirical paper to the Journal of Financial Economics (JFE). It helps diagnose bottlenecks—from vague topic selection and weak identification to robustness testing and final rebuttal writing—ensuring methodological rigor and structural completeness.

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for rigorously identifying and defending the methodological core of academic papers in finance and banking. It covers both empirical tracks (e.g., staggered DID, RDD, causal design for bank data) and theoretical tracks (defining necessary assumptions and analytical discipline). It helps researchers move beyond default methods to address complex challenges like internal versus external validity and causality separation.

Provides a structured guide for authors responding to review and revision (R&R) comments for top-tier finance journals like the Journal of Financial Intermediation (JFI). It teaches how to structure point-by-point rebuttals, address identification challenges (empirical and theoretical), and maintain a credible, evidence-based tone essential for single-blind academic review.

A comprehensive guide for researchers tackling endogeneity in market microstructure. It outlines advanced econometric designs—such as Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and rigorous event studies—necessary to establish credible causal links between market variables (like liquidity and price impact) and macro-level events for top-tier finance journals.

A comprehensive guide to designing highly defensible and causal research studies for top-tier finance journals, such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA). It covers advanced econometric methods for corporate finance, asset pricing, and policy shocks, including Fixed Effects, Staggered Difference-in-Differences (DID), Instrumental Variables (IV), and Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD). Focuses on addressing endogeneity, reporting economic magnitude, and ensuring robust inference.

Use this skill to rigorously evaluate whether a finance research question meets the high quantitative and empirical standards required by the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA). It guides authors through a comprehensive checklist, assessing financial object, quantitative core, identification feasibility, and novelty, helping authors optimize their academic contribution before investing time and submission fees.

This guide provides advanced econometric methodologies crucial for establishing causality in financial and macro research, particularly when analyzing policy shocks (e.g., LPR changes, regulatory reforms). It details the correct application of Difference-in-Differences (DID), Instrumental Variables (IV), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and high-frequency analysis, ensuring robust empirical design for top-tier journals.

This guide provides a structured framework for authors responding to reviewers' feedback for top-tier academic journals, especially in finance or economics. It emphasizes addressing methodological concerns (identification, causality, mechanisms) point-by-point, ensuring every response is backed by new evidence, and precisely locating changes in the revised manuscript.

This router provides a systematic workflow guide for submitting academic manuscripts to top-tier finance journals, such as the Journal of Financial Research. It does not replace specialized skills but dictates the necessary sequence of steps—from initial positioning and topic selection to advanced identification, mechanism analysis, and rebuttal response—ensuring the required academic rigor and structure.

A comprehensive guide for rigorous causal inference in health policy research. It details advanced econometric methodologies—including Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity Design (RDD), and Instrumental Variables (IV)—and addresses critical issues like selection bias and institutional realism. This resource helps ensure that empirical claims meet the highest standards required by top-tier health economics journals.
