Skill UI

This skill provides a comprehensive, end-to-end workflow guide for academic journal submissions, specifically tailored for Acta Electronica Sinica (AES). It maps the entire publishing journey—from topic selection and research design to submission, review tracking, revision, and final publication—into a structured timeline. It helps authors manage complex decision points, adhere to strict deadlines (like the 6-month response window), and avoid common pitfalls, ensuring a systematic approach to high-stakes scholarly publishing.

A comprehensive guide for technical authors preparing manuscripts for prestigious Chinese academic journals, specifically targeting the rigorous standards of Acta Electronica Sinica (AES). This skill covers multiple critical areas, including title formatting, structured abstracts, unit usage, formula typesetting, figure/table standards, and rigorous citation guidelines (GB/T 7714). Use this guide to ensure your paper is professionally polished, highly rigorous, and ready for expert review, significantly minimizing formatting deductions and enhancing academic credibility.

This skill guides authors in assessing the suitability of their research concerning agricultural or forest ecosystems for journals focused on land–atmosphere interactions. It emphasizes that the core contribution must be a biophysical process—such as the exchange of energy, water, or carbon—rather than purely agronomic or ecological observations. Use it to re-frame your work to highlight micrometeorological processes and robust flux measurement methodologies.

This skill helps authors determine if their research, which focuses on the complex interface between agricultural management and environmental outcomes, is appropriate for the journal 'Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment.' It details the required scope, from greenhouse gas fluxes and biodiversity to soil and water quality at the field-to-landscape scale, emphasizing the necessity of environmental outcome quantification and sound ecological methodology.

A comprehensive guide for authors aiming to publish agronomy or farming systems research in journals focused on sustainability. It outlines the critical need for making sustainability contributions explicit, measurable, and evidence-based (environmental, economic, and social). Use this tool to reframe your methodology, scope, and findings to meet rigorous academic standards for sustainable development.

This guide details how the journal Agricultural Systems (AgSy) evaluates manuscripts, covering the single anonymized peer review process, desk screening criteria, and expert reviewer expectations. It helps authors pre-empt common rejection points related to systems thinking, model rigor, and decision relevance before formal submission.

A comprehensive final checklist guiding authors through the submission process for Agricultural Systems journals (AgSy) via Editorial Manager. It ensures compliance with detailed guidelines, covering abstract word limits, required declarations (CRediT, COI, Funding, AI), graphical abstract preparation, and data/code deposit. Use this guide as the last step before final submission to avoid common desk-rejection errors.

This guide helps researchers rigorously evaluate if their project meets the criteria for a 'systems analysis' in high-impact journals. It teaches how to shift the research focus from single-factor field trials to complex systems questions that analyze interactions, trade-offs, and emergent behaviors across multiple hierarchical levels, such as the farm to the food system. Essential for properly framing scope and article type before submission.

A comprehensive guide for drafting, polishing, and formatting manuscripts in Agricultural Systems (AgSy). This skill ensures the writing is highly readable for a broad systems-science audience, clearly frames the system contribution, and adheres to demanding journal front-matter requirements (e.g., concise abstracts, Highlights, and graphical abstracts). It focuses on strengthening prose and structure, not generating new content.

A comprehensive guide for formatting academic manuscripts for the American Historical Review (AHR). This skill mandates adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) guidelines where all citations must be placed exclusively in footnotes or endnotes. It strictly prohibits the use of bibliography pages or in-text parenthetical citations, providing detailed rules for citing books, journals, digitized, and especially sensitive archival/manuscript sources.

A comprehensive guide detailing the intensive and rigorous peer-review standards of The American Historical Review (AHR). It covers the double-blind review process, the expectations of six or more scholars, the timeline, and the critical elements historians must include—such as historiographical intervention and source criticism—to increase a manuscript's chances of acceptance. Ideal for academics preparing submissions to top-tier history journals.

This skill guides researchers in pressure-testing the significance and general appeal of a historical project before committing extensive archival time. It helps determine if a topic matters to the broader historical discipline, rather than being merely local or subfield-specific, aligning the work with the standards of flagship academic journals.
