A comprehensive pre-submission checklist designed for academics submitting manuscripts to scholarly journals. It covers crucial formatting rules, such as specific citation styles (Author-Date), bibliography standards (GB/T 7714), appropriate use of footnotes, abstract/keyword length limits, and guidelines for maintaining anonymity during the review process. Essential for ensuring submissions meet strict academic publishing requirements.

This comprehensive workflow acts as a guide for structuring academic manuscripts, particularly for high-level sociology journals. It diagnoses common writing pitfalls—such as weak theoretical grounding, policy focus, or lack of conceptual depth—and routes the user to the next necessary specialized skill (e.g., problem definition, theory dialogue, mechanism building, or rebuttal drafting). It ensures the final work meets the academic rigor required for top-tier publications.

This guide helps researchers navigate the complex double-anonymous peer review process for sociological theory. It teaches users how to interpret confusing decision letters, identify conceptual gaps, and triage reviewer feedback based on the journal's focus on theoretical contribution, conceptual novelty, and logical soundness. It is essential for deciding if a manuscript revision (R&R) is viable.

This comprehensive guide provides a final pre-submission checklist for authors submitting theoretical manuscripts to Sociological Theory (ST). It details critical requirements, including adherence to ASA style, ensuring double-anonymous masking, verifying conceptual contributions, and meeting specific journal formatting and ethical guidelines. Designed specifically for theory-only papers, it guides authors through the submission preparation process.

This guide helps researchers determine if their academic idea constitutes a genuine theoretical problem suitable for a specialized theory journal, rather than an empirical study or a simple literature review. It screens for conceptual advances, teaching users to distinguish between mere topics, data-driven findings, and deep theoretical gaps. Use this when you have an intuition or critique but are unsure of the theoretical depth or appropriate academic venue.

This router guides the entire lifecycle of a Sociological Theory (ST) manuscript, from initial topic selection to final submission and revision. It does not replace specialized skills but directs the user to the correct next step, ensuring the conceptual advance is properly framed, argued, and polished for high-level academic journals. Essential for structuring complex theoretical contributions.

A comprehensive guide for authors transitioning an accepted paper from a full draft to the strict, camera-ready proceedings format required by major conferences like SODA. It covers critical steps such as content compression, de-anonymization (restoring author metadata), adhering to SIAM formatting rules, and establishing proper citation hygiene across multiple versions (proceedings, arXiv, journal).

This guide provides a comprehensive framework for positioning theoretical algorithms research in top-tier venues like SODA. It details how to conduct a rigorous "related work" review, covering bound lineages across conference proceedings, journal publications, and arXiv preprints. Learn best practices for citing dual-version results, managing priority claims, and writing scholarly prose to establish your result's state-of-the-art status.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting soil science manuscripts to Soil Biology & Biochemistry. This tool emphasizes shifting the focus from descriptive community inventories to mechanistic process understanding. It helps authors re-frame data (e.g., -omics data) to explain how soil organisms and reactions drive measurable processes like nutrient cycling or carbon stabilization, ensuring the manuscript meets the journal's high mechanistic standard.

A comprehensive resource for academics targeting the South China Journal of Economics. It provides deep insight into the journal's scope, preferred topics (e.g., Greater Bay Area, open economy, digital economy), rigorous submission standards (anonymous review, fee-free), and structural requirements. Use this guide to evaluate manuscript fit, optimize framing, and reduce the risk of desk rejection before official submission.

This guide provides detailed criteria for submitting theoretical, critical, or interdisciplinary articles to high-level sports science journals. It emphasizes the need for original theoretical contributions, methodological critique, and deep academic dialogue, rather than standard empirical reports or policy recommendations. Ideal for advanced researchers building new conceptual frameworks.

A comprehensive guide for preparing the data, code, and materials transparency posture when submitting a manuscript to Social Psychology Quarterly (SPQ). It clarifies the journal's guidelines (encouraged, not required) regarding data sharing, covering both quantitative and qualitative research methods while strictly adhering to ethical considerations and ASA norms.
