Skill UI

This skill provides a comprehensive assessment framework for submitting manuscripts to the journal 'Systems Engineering Theory and Practice.' It helps researchers determine the manuscript's fit, required methodological depth (e.g., modeling, algorithms), structural adherence, and potential revision paths. It serves as a crucial guide to meet the high academic standards of a specialized systems engineering publication.

A comprehensive guide for academic authors on how to transition raw research findings into a clear, explicit, and highly significant statement of knowledge. It teaches authors how to frame their contribution—whether it's a new theory, a refined measurement, or a policy implication—to satisfy journal requirements and reviewer skepticism, ensuring the paper clearly answers the question: 'What does the field now know?'

A comprehensive guide for conducting and reporting rigorous empirical analysis in academic research, particularly in finance and accounting. It covers selecting appropriate estimators (e.g., DiD, 2SLS, RDD), handling fixed effects, ensuring statistical robustness through placebo and alternative testing, and fulfilling strict data-authenticity and code-access requirements required by top-tier journals.

A guide for academic authors on structuring the literature review section for top-tier accounting journals. It emphasizes moving beyond simple 'gap-spotting' and instead focuses on 'problematization'—identifying and resolving core tensions or unexplained results within existing scholarly debates. This skill helps frame the contribution by positioning the research within a live, ongoing academic conversation.

This comprehensive guide details the rigorous review process used by top academic journals. It explains the tiered editor structure, the critical double-blind review model, and how to interpret various decision letters (desk reject, reject, revise and resubmit). It helps authors set realistic expectations, understand professional academic integrity rules, and prepare best practices for manuscript submission.

A comprehensive preflight checklist designed for submitting academic manuscripts to major journals. It ensures strict compliance with publishing standards, covering double-blind anonymization, required AI disclosure statements, ORCID linking, adherence to specific formatting rules (e.g., Chicago style, page limits), and data authenticity requirements for research integrity.

This skill details the rigorous process of converting raw statistical outputs into self-contained, publication-ready tables and figures for top-tier academic journals. It ensures compliance with strict house styles, covering sample selection, descriptive statistics, main regression results, and specific formatting for DiD, RDD, and event studies, all while adhering to strict page limits and providing economic magnitude interpretation.

A comprehensive guide for accounting researchers on refining and scoping a high-quality research question suitable for top-tier journals like The Accounting Review (TAR). It teaches critical criteria, including ensuring the question is accounting-centered, methodologically identifiable, and makes a significant theoretical contribution, while also advising on the best fit among competing academic venues (TAR vs. JAR/JAE).

This skill polishes the prose and style of academic accounting manuscripts for submission to top-tier journals like The Accounting Review (TAR). It enforces strict house conventions, including adherence to the Chicago Manual of Style, structuring the abstract (max 150 words), ensuring findings are front-loaded, and maintaining rigorous author anonymization throughout the text for double-blind review.

A specialized guide for researchers targeting the journal Taxation Research. It helps users vet their manuscripts for alignment with the journal's scope, structure, and academic expectations. The skill covers core themes such as tax reform, digital taxation, and international tax, while providing detailed advice on abstract writing, citation styles, methodology strength, and avoiding common rejection pitfalls.

A comprehensive guide designed to help authors position, frame, and refine academic manuscripts for submission to top-tier accounting journals like The Accounting Review (TAR). It assesses method rigor, theoretical contribution, scope fit, and common desk-reject triggers across archival, experimental, and analytical designs.

A comprehensive skill designed to guide authors on whether their observational, data-intensive manuscript is suitable for The Astronomical Journal (AJ). It details the journal's specific scope, required methodological rigor (e.g., uncertainty propagation), and adherence to AAS/AASTeX standards, serving as a pre-submission fit and re-framing tool.
