Skill UI

This skill guides authors and researchers on how to strategically position their computer graphics, rendering, or visual computing work for the ACM SIGGRAPH conference. It covers core fit assessment, required evidence (visual, mathematical, or system), manuscript reframing from journal/arXiv styles, and navigating venue-specific submission requirements. Use this tool to improve your conference submission strategy and maximize visibility among top graphics reviewers.

This skill serves as a comprehensive guide for authors submitting manuscripts to highly selective pure mathematics journals like Acta Mathematica. It assesses the work's significance, intellectual fit, required level of rigor, structural integrity, and adherence to top-tier academic standards, ensuring the research is ready for the global mathematical research community.

A comprehensive guide for submitting pure mathematics research to Advances in Mathematics. It details the journal's high standards, broad scope (covering algebra, topology, number theory, etc.), required proof rigor, house style, and submission checklist. Use this skill when assessing if a general-interest, high-quality mathematical paper is suitable for this broad-scope, selective academic venue.

This guide provides comprehensive best practices for preparing supplementary materials for major academic conferences like AISTATS. It details the proper structure and handling of appendices, mathematical proofs, code archives, and additional data tables, ensuring that the main paper remains fully understandable even if the supplementary material is ignored by reviewers. Essential for publishing high-quality, robust research.

A comprehensive guide for mathematicians on drafting a highly structured and impactful cover letter for submissions to top-tier journals. It teaches authors how to concisely convey the main theorem, its significance to the field, the specific advance over prior work, and why the journal is the ideal venue, maximizing the chances of initial editor interest.

A comprehensive guide for structuring pure mathematics manuscripts, focusing on exposition, logical flow, and readability for expert non-specialists. It emphasizes stating theorems before proof, maintaining consistent notation, and using commutative diagrams or figures only when they clarify complex relationships better than prose.

A guide for managing the length and density of advanced pure mathematics manuscripts. This skill helps authors eliminate bloat, padding, and unnecessary background while ensuring that the core mathematical proof remains complete, rigorous, and gap-free. It is essential for refining long-form academic papers for top-tier journals.

A comprehensive guide for mathematicians writing complex, pure-mathematics manuscripts for high-level journals. It focuses on laying out the architecture of the argument, ensuring that the novel contribution (the 'crux') and the difficulty are clear to a non-specialist referee. Learn how to decompose proofs into named lemmas, outline the strategy upfront, and properly attribute external results.

A comprehensive strategy guide for mathematical authors to stress-test their proofs before submission. It outlines how expert academic referees rigorously review work, advising on strengthening weak steps, verifying external theorems, clarifying the core argument, and handling boundary cases to significantly improve the manuscript's rigor and chances of acceptance.

This guide helps pure-mathematics researchers precisely state and frame the main theorems of their manuscripts for submission to top-tier journals. It emphasizes techniques for quantifying novelty, separating the core headline result from corollaries, and rigorously positioning the work relative to the existing state of the art, mimicking the structure of Annals of Mathematics submissions.

This guide outlines the rigorous, multi-step process for authors revising a mathematical or scientific manuscript following a detailed referee report. It emphasizes the critical rule: always fix mathematical gaps and errors in the text first, and only then draft a structured, point-by-point reply that is respectful, precise, and mathematically grounded.

This guide helps pure mathematics researchers evaluate whether their results possess sufficient depth, originality, and lasting importance to be submitted to highly selective, top-tier journals. It functions as a pre-submission screening tool, guiding authors to assess the true significance and appropriate scope of their work before investing significant time in framing or writing a full manuscript.
