Skill UI

This skill guide is designed for researchers and academics submitting manuscripts to specialized journals in economics and management. It helps users analyze a target journal's specific scope, required theoretical perspectives (e.g., institutional economics, political economy), and structural demands. It provides guidance on manuscript revision, identifying high-risk areas for rejection, and suggesting alternative suitable venues.

A comprehensive academic consulting tool designed for authors in management and organizational behavior. It helps researchers assess the suitability of their manuscript for the Journal of Management (JOM). The skill evaluates topic scope, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor (e.g., meta-analysis, SEM), and adherence to top academic publishing standards. It also provides advice on potential rejection risks and suggests alternative top-tier venues.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for authors targeting the Journal of Marketing Research (JMR). It analyzes the journal's demanding standards for methodological rigor, covering quantitative modeling, behavioral experiments, and design validity. Use this tool to assess if your manuscript's contribution, structure, and evidence base meet JMR's high academic bar, or to suggest more appropriate alternative venues.

A comprehensive guide to defending causal claims in policy and program evaluation, adhering to rigorous econometric standards (e.g., JPAM). It covers advanced methods such as RCT, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Regression Discontinuity (RDD), Instrumental Variables (IV), and Synthetic Control. This guide emphasizes stating the estimand, defending identification assumptions, and robustly ruling out alternative causal explanations, rather than just writing estimation code.

A comprehensive guide for ensuring the robustness of empirical findings, particularly for submissions to top-tier economic journals. This method moves beyond simply showing that coefficients remain significant, focusing instead on defending the core economic interpretation by systematically ruling out alternative mechanisms, structural assumptions, and potential sources of bias. It guides the development of a rigorous 'robustness battery.'

This skill is a comprehensive guide for researchers to determine if their Information Systems (IS) research manuscript meets the high academic standards of MIS Quarterly (MISQ). It evaluates the theoretical contribution, methodological rigor (behavioral, design-science, economics), and overall fit, providing crucial guidance on re-framing the work or suggesting alternative academic venues before submission.

A comprehensive skill guide for authors targeting the academic journal Modern Finance and Economics. It covers the journal's focus areas (finance, accounting, regional economy), submission standards (length, format, citation style), and provides heuristics for manuscript positioning, potential weaknesses, and alternative journal suggestions.

A comprehensive guide and framework for authors targeting the journal 'Modern Financial Research'. It helps assess whether a manuscript's scope, methodology (e.g., VAR, DID), and policy relevance align with the journal's focus on banking, finance, and macro-policy. It details submission requirements, common pitfalls, and suggestions for revision or alternative journals.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting new methods, tools, or technologies to Nature Methods. It details the journal's specific requirements, including the mandatory criteria for generalizability, rigorous benchmarking against state-of-the-art alternatives, and the required structure and house style for achieving publication success in life sciences.

A comprehensive guide for structuring and defending academic research designs, particularly for New Media and Society studies. It provides rigorous criteria for qualitative ethnography, content/discourse analysis, computational data validation, and mixed methods integration. The focus is on strengthening the theoretical argument by justifying choices, validating measures, and defeating leading alternative readings.

A comprehensive, backward-scheduled workflow guide for preparing submissions to top-tier theoretical computer science conferences like POPL. It maps out critical academic milestones, detailing the journey from initial core theorem stabilization (16+ weeks out) through the July submission deadline, October notification, mandatory artifact evaluation, and final January presentation. Includes strategies for contingency planning and retargeting to alternative venues if the primary timeline falters.

A comprehensive guide for executing and reporting quantitative analyses for high-stakes public policy research. This skill emphasizes methodological rigor, demanding transparency in uncertainty reporting (effect size, intervals), robust checks (heterogeneity, alternative specifications), and ensuring full reproducibility through master scripts and pinned versions for journal submission.
