This tutor specializes in developing advanced critical thinking and argumentative skills across humanities and social sciences. It covers disciplines including philosophy, sociology, psychology, political science, and literature. Instead of providing simple answers, the focus is on teaching students how to construct nuanced, evidence-based arguments, utilize multiple theoretical frameworks (e.g., Marxist, feminist), engage in close textual reading, and master the structure of academic writing, supporting both Chinese and Western academic traditions.

This guide details the rigorous data analysis and reporting standards required for top-tier academic journals, such as AJPS. It focuses intensely on reproducibility, ensuring that all results—from primary findings to exploratory models—are generated by a single, seeded master script. Key requirements include reporting uncertainty intervals, proving robustness, adhering to pre-registration discipline, and accommodating mandatory third-party code verification. Use this when conducting complex empirical research in social sciences or political science, needing to withstand intensive methodolo...

Provides a detailed guide on the mandatory pre-publication replication and verification process for American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It instructs authors on building a robust, reproducible package—including code, data, and documentation—that an independent third party can re-run to confirm all numerical findings match the main text before publication.

This guide details the multi-stage, rigorous review process for the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It covers the mechanics of double-blind screening, editorial fit assessment, expert peer review, and the unique, critical post-acceptance third-party verification step. It is designed to help authors anticipate and mitigate potential rejection issues by structuring and refining their manuscripts to meet top-tier academic standards.

A comprehensive final preflight guide for submitting manuscripts to the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS) via Editorial Manager. It covers strict requirements for double-blind review, including anonymization rules, word count limits, formatting (APSA/Chicago), Supporting Information caps, and human subjects documentation, ensuring the manuscript is ready before hitting submit.

This guide outlines the stringent standards for creating tables and figures (exhibits) for the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It emphasizes that exhibits must be self-contained, highly accessible, and, critically, regenerated exactly by deposited code for third-party verification. It provides best practices for structuring research results, managing word counts by differentiating between core arguments in the main text and supporting details in the Supporting Information (SI).

A comprehensive guide for structuring academic arguments, specifically tailored to the high theoretical standards of top-tier journals like AJPS. It helps researchers transform initial ideas into a rigorous framework, defining core mechanisms, stating directional and testable hypotheses before results, and establishing clear scope conditions for empirical, formal, or methodological papers.

This skill provides a rigorous framework for political scientists to pre-test their research projects against the standards of the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It evaluates whether a topic has a sharp, generalizable question, demonstrates strong causal identification, provides a substantive theoretical contribution, and fits the appropriate submission type (Article, Research Note, Correspondence). Use this before committing significant time to writing.

This is the comprehensive orchestrator for submitting manuscripts to the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It guides users through the entire academic writing lifecycle, helping them determine the correct submission type (Article, Research Note, Correspondence) and ensuring critical steps, such as mandatory third-party code verification, are integrated from the start. It dispatches to specific sub-skills rather than drafting content.

This skill guides the polishing and refinement of academic manuscripts specifically for submission to the American Journal of Political Science (AJPS). It ensures the paper adheres to strict academic standards, such as APSA or Chicago style, manages stringent word counts (e.g., Abstract <= 150 words, Article <= 10,000 words), and maintains full anonymity for double-blind review. It focuses on tightening the prose, front-loading the core contribution, and optimizing the overall structure without generating new content.

This guide outlines the rigorous execution and reporting standards required for quantitative research intended for top-tier academic journals, such as APSR. It covers best practices for ensuring reproducibility, assessing robustness, reporting uncertainty honestly (using credible intervals), and correctly applying advanced statistical inference (e.g., clustering, randomization inference). It is essential for researchers conducting empirical work in political science, economics, or social sciences.

This guide provides advanced strategies for authors to position their research contribution within the broader academic debate, particularly for highly competitive, generalist journals like APSR. It teaches authors how to move beyond subfield-specific citations by identifying the core contested debate, engaging cross-subfield literature, and framing the paper's move to ensure its relevance to a general political science audience.
