A comprehensive guide to pressure-test whether a political science project meets the broad, general-interest criteria of the British Journal of Political Science (BJPS). It helps users frame their research question and contribution to maximize its appeal beyond single-country or subfield limitations, advising on optimal format choice and scope definition.

A comprehensive guide for authors preparing replication and transparency packages for submissions to the British Journal of Political Science (BJPS). It outlines requirements for depositing quantitative and qualitative data and code into the BJPolS Dataverse, ensuring that research findings are fully reproducible and adhering to the Data Access and Research Transparency (DA-RT) statement.

This tool serves as the central workflow router for manuscripts targeting the British Journal of Political Science (BJPS). It guides the user through the entire academic writing and submission lifecycle, from initial topic selection and literature positioning to rigorous data analysis, writing style refinement, and final submission/rebuttal. It diagnoses the appropriate format (Article, Letter, Comment) and the next required skill stage, ensuring the research meets the journal's requirement for broad, general interest in political science.

This skill guides the refinement of academic manuscripts for submission to the British Journal of Political Science (BJPS). It ensures the prose is accessible to a broad, international political science audience, enforces Cambridge's Harvard author-date citation style, and strictly adheres to specified word caps (e.g., $\le 150$-word abstracts). Use this skill when drafting introductions, tightening arguments, or formatting the final submission to maximize clarity and professional impact.

This guide outlines the best practices and norms for executing and reporting empirical analyses in governance and comparative political science. It covers essential methods including cross-national inference, clustering uncertainty, robustness checks, multi-method triangulation, and ensuring reproducibility, guiding researchers to conduct rigorous, publication-ready studies.

This skill guides users in refining and polishing academic manuscripts intended for high-impact international journals focused on public administration and political science. It teaches how to transform single-case studies into arguments with a broad, comparative scope, ensuring the core contribution is front-loaded and clearly articulated for a global audience. Use this when structuring the introduction, tightening prose, or conforming to strict journal guidelines (e.g., word caps, abstract length, double-blind submission).

A comprehensive guide for political science scholars to pressure-test their research ideas against the standards of the American Political Science Review (APSR). This skill emphasizes demonstrating general disciplinary significance (matters to the field) over mere subfield novelty, guiding users through framing, contribution type, and appropriate track selection.

This skill guides political science scholars through the rigorous process of assessing whether their research project meets the high standards of top-tier journals (e.g., The Journal of Politics). It focuses on evaluating the work for general interest, theoretical innovation, methodological diversity, and appropriate scope (Research Article vs. Short Article) to maximize publication chances.

This comprehensive guide assists researchers in structuring their academic contributions for policy-focused journals. It teaches authors how to identify and frame the 'decision gap'—the crucial question policymakers need answered—by bridging research across economics, political science, and public management. It ensures the contribution is framed as policy-relevant, not just methodologically novel.

An essential orchestrator for authors submitting to the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management (JPAM). This skill guides authors through the entire academic writing lifecycle, routing them based on the article type, stage, and required methodological rigor. It ensures the paper maintains strong policy relevance and credible causal identification, bridging economics, political science, and public management.

This guide helps researchers position their work within the broader, multidisciplinary development conversation. It teaches how to move beyond simply presenting new data or techniques, focusing instead on bridging disciplines (e.g., economics and political science) and identifying the core conceptual contribution that a non-specialist can grasp. It is crucial for manuscripts aiming for high-impact development journals.
