This guide details the deployment and usage of OPA Gatekeeper, a powerful Kubernetes admission controller. Gatekeeper enforces custom policies written in Rego using ConstraintTemplates and Constraints. It validates, mutates, or denies resource requests at admission time, ensuring that non-compliant workloads are blocked before scheduling. Ideal for organizations requiring robust, code-based policy enforcement to meet strict security and compliance standards.

This guide details implementing Policy-as-Code using Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Gatekeeper. It covers writing complex Rego policies, deploying OPA Gatekeeper as a Kubernetes admission controller, and integrating policy testing into CI/CD pipelines to enforce security standards across clusters. Ideal for DevSecOps practitioners requiring robust governance.

KubeEye is a comprehensive cluster inspection tool designed for Kubernetes environments, particularly within KubeSphere. It systematically detects issues across workloads, nodes, and configurations by integrating multiple policy engines, including OPA/Rego, PromQL, file integrity checks, kernel parameter validation, and systemd health checks. Users can define custom inspection rules (InspectRule), schedule checks (InspectPlan), and retrieve detailed reports (InspectResult) to ensure cluster compliance and stability.

A rigorous methodology for systematic problem diagnosis and consequential decision-making. It operates in two modes: Problem Analysis (for root cause identification using IS/IS-NOT contrast) and Decision Analysis (for prioritizing options by screening MUSTs, weighting WANTs, and assessing adverse consequences). Ideal for complex engineering and business scenarios requiring structured evidence and risk assessment.
