A comprehensive guide for authors structuring and formatting scientific manuscripts for PNAS Nexus. It details selecting the appropriate article type (e.g., Research Report, Review), managing page length budgets, ensuring the Materials and Methods section remains in the main text, and organizing results logically by argument, not chronology. Essential for successful scientific publishing.

This guide details the rigorous and single-shot review process for ACM's Principles of Distributed Computing (PODC). Unlike venues with major revision rounds, PODC focuses entirely on the strength of the proof, the significance of the result, and the honesty of the model. It outlines the criteria (correctness, novelty, tightness) and emphasizes that all necessary work must be completed pre-submission, as there are no post-acceptance revision cycles.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting revised manuscripts, specifically addressing the complex requirements of Population and Development Reviews (PDR). Learn how to structure a rebuttal that satisfies cross-field experts (demographers and policy scholars), reconcile conflicting comments, protect the core scientific contribution, and write a cohesive, persuasive cover letter to the editor.

This guide outlines the necessary steps to ensure that parallel computing performance papers are scientifically reproducible. Since parallel results depend heavily on machine architecture, topology, and runtime conditions, proper documentation must cover everything from CPU/GPU specifications and interconnects to thread pinning policies, random seeds, and compiler flags. The focus is on proving the scaling trend, not just the absolute numbers, allowing results to hold true across different hardware platforms.

This framework guides the critical appraisal of scientific literature syntheses. It helps users assess the credibility of individual studies—checking for power, replication status, and publication bias—to ensure the overall synthesis accurately reflects the best evidence. It emphasizes weighing conflicting results by construct rather than simple vote-counting, ensuring methodological balance and comprehensiveness in reporting.

A comprehensive guide for constructing academic exhibits, such as conceptual framework diagrams, 'who-found-what' summary tables, and meta-science plots, for literature review and perspective pieces. It ensures adherence to APA style, emphasizes comparing like-with-like constructs, and mandates systematic data sourcing to maintain scientific credibility and reproducibility.

This guide helps researchers determine if their academic idea is suitable for publication in Perspectives on Psychological Science (PoPS). It evaluates contributions against four critical criteria—Breadth, Integration, Provocation, and Tractability—ensuring the topic is a superordinate, theoretical, or meta-scientific argument, rather than a single empirical study. It helps refine the animating question and select the correct journal venue.

This guide teaches how to structure the "Related Work" section for top-tier AI journals, focusing on demonstrating the novel incremental contribution (delta) rather than simply listing existing literature. It covers positioning the work within ML/CV/NLP, defining novel problem dimensions, and structuring rigorous comparison tables to withstand external review scrutiny.

This guide outlines comprehensive best practices for ensuring the reproducibility of Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition research. It covers fixing random seeds, locking hardware/software dependencies (Python, CUDA, etc.), managing data splits, tracking pre-trained model versions, and structuring the required artifact package for external review. It is essential for building trust in published scientific results.

This guide provides expert guidelines for designing high-impact, concise figures specifically for academic publications with strict length limits (e.g., PRL). It emphasizes that every figure must convey a single, central result at a glance. The strategy covers lead figure principles, print standards (single-column legibility, color-blind safety), and panel discipline to ensure maximum clarity and minimal word count consumption.

A comprehensive guide for authors writing for high-impact journals like Physical Review Letters (PRL). It addresses the strict 'deductible budget' model where figures, equations, references, and text all count against a single limit. Provides systematic steps to triage content—such as moving derivations to Supplemental Material, compressing figures, and tightening prose—to ensure the core scientific claims remain clear and within publication guidelines.

This guide teaches the 'trust-minimum principle' for writing methods sections in short scientific letters (like PRL). It instructs authors on how to rigorously partition their work, keeping only the essential, trust-bearing details (setup, key controls, uncertainties) in the body, while relegating full derivations and extensive apparatus details to the Supplemental Material (SM). This ensures brevity without sacrificing scientific credibility.
