This comprehensive guide provides researchers with structured methodologies for designing and auditing Computer Vision (CV) experiments for major conferences like WACV. It details the critical differences between the Applications and Algorithms tracks, emphasizing the need to report performance under real deployment constraints (e.g., power, latency) and ensuring fair, rigorous comparisons with baselines. Ideal for revising submissions to meet high review standards.

A comprehensive guide for structuring the 'Related Work' section in academic papers, especially in Computer Vision (CV). It teaches authors how to strategically position their research contribution by covering multiple literature shelves: vision methods, domain constraints, concurrent arXiv work, and prior art. This ensures the paper clearly defines a unique gap rather than merely listing citations, adhering to double-blind review standards.

This guide helps researchers determine the optimal venue for their Computer Vision paper, specifically addressing the unique identity of WACV (Applications-first) versus major conferences like CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV. It guides authors on whether their contribution is driven by real-world applications/constraints or by advancing core algorithms, and how to choose between the Applications or Algorithms track within WACV.

This comprehensive guide is designed for authors submitting manuscripts in water science or engineering. It details the high standards, scope, and expected rigor for the flagship journal, Water Research. It covers the necessary depth of mechanistic or methodological advances, strict experimental design requirements (including mass balances and controls), and the IMRaD structure required for publication.

This comprehensive guide helps authors evaluate if their hydrology or water-science manuscript is a suitable fit for the Water Resources Research journal. It mandates that contributions must be quantitative, generalizable advances, not single-basin case studies. The tool emphasizes rigorous benchmarking, adherence to AGU house styles, and compliance with open data/code deposition policies.

A comprehensive guide for researchers on how to effectively position academic contributions, particularly for top-tier development economics journals. It instructs users to move beyond merely stating a research topic (e.g., 'first to study X in Y') by framing their findings as generalizable claims about underlying mechanisms or quantitative gaps. Key focus areas include linking academic gaps to active development policy debates and strategically distinguishing the work from similar fields like JDE or World Development.

A comprehensive guide for researchers handling academic revisions after receiving a journal decision letter (R&R). It teaches how to triage critical feedback from multiple referees, prioritize the editor's synthesis, structure detailed point-by-point responses using quantitative evidence, and sequence the revision work to maximize the chances of publication.

A comprehensive strategy guide for submitting academic papers to The World Bank Economic Review (WBER). It teaches researchers how to anticipate and preempt common criticisms from development-economics referees (identification flaws, policy relevance, data quality) and how to structure the cover letter to maximize acceptance chances.

A comprehensive guide for assembling a reproducible data and code package for publishing economic manuscripts, specialized for World Bank Economic Review (WBER) standards. It details best practices for data availability statements, handling restricted microdata, pinning software versions, and ensuring full transparency throughout the analysis pipeline.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for designing and auditing academic tables and figures, specifically for development economics journals. It teaches how to translate statistical coefficients into actionable policy magnitudes, validate research design (e.g., balance checks, pre-trends), and adhere to strict page limits while maintaining clarity for both economists and policymakers.

A comprehensive guide detailing when and how to structure theoretical models in development economics research, particularly for World Bank Economic Review submissions. It emphasizes that models must serve a functional purpose—such as interpreting empirical coefficients, running policy counterfactuals, or aggregating to welfare statements—rather than being decorative. Key principles cover parameter identification, matching structural frictions to the local setting, and handling counterfactual assumptions (Lucas critique).

A detailed guide for structuring and positioning development economics research for high-impact journals like The World Bank Economic Review (WBER). It teaches researchers to reframe their work to satisfy two crucial criteria: rigorous empirical design (credible empirics) and actionable policy relevance in developing countries, ensuring the work transcends being a mere project report.
