This comprehensive guide outlines the rigorous standards for presenting quantitative results in academic economic research. It emphasizes moving beyond mere statistical significance (stars) to provide clear, economically meaningful interpretations, such as magnitudes, shares, rankings, and trends. It also mandates full transparency by requiring detailed annotation of data sources and calculation methodologies, ensuring results are fully reproducible and traceable.

A comprehensive guide for academic authors seeking to polish their manuscripts for top-tier urban economics journals. It focuses on restructuring the narrative to prioritize the spatial mechanism, ensuring the introduction, abstract, and results are grounded in concrete geography and interpretable policy magnitudes, rather than general statistical significance or abstract jargon.

This comprehensive guide details professional standards for presenting complex empirical economic results (tables and figures) for top-tier journals like The Journal of World Economy. It instructs users on simplifying main regression tables, standardizing notes (clustering, significance), and correctly presenting specialized open-economy objects such as event studies, gravity regressions, and GVC decompositions, ensuring research meets publication quality.

A rigorous pre-writing framework used by researchers to stress-test a study's significance against the high standards of top-tier medical journals (e.g., The Lancet). It assesses whether the work is clinically important, globally relevant, likely to change policy, and addresses health equity, preventing wasted research efforts on unsuitable manuscripts.

A comprehensive guide for linguists on determining if their research project has sufficient theoretical scope and general significance for submission to a generalist, high-impact journal. It helps researchers transition from descriptive findings to theoretically grounded, cross-subfield claims, improving their structuring and argumentation before submission.

A comprehensive guide for authors to assess if their high-impact photonics research meets the broad significance and methodological rigor required by journals like Light: Science & Applications. It helps authors re-frame specialized technical results into a Nature-style narrative, focusing on conceptual advances and quantitative evidence.

A comprehensive guide for researchers submitting materials science manuscripts to the Cell Press journal Matter. It outlines the journal's 'atoms to systems' scope, defining the high bar for conceptual significance, narrative rigor, data evidence, and overall transformative impact. Use this skill to determine suitability, structure the narrative, and meet the stringent house style requirements before submission.

A comprehensive guide on structuring and writing high-impact scientific summaries, specifically modeled after the standards of journals like Molecular Cell. This skill teaches how to transform raw research findings into a single, polished, unstructured paragraph (~150 words). The summary must explicitly name the molecular mechanism, provide quantified evidence, establish the biological context, and articulate the physiological significance, ensuring the writing is clear for a specialized molecular biology readership.

A comprehensive guide for researchers targeting Nature Astronomy. This skill helps authors frame their astrophysical or cosmological findings to meet the journal's high standards, emphasizing broad conceptual significance over narrow sub-field advancements. It covers scope fit, structural requirements (e.g., narrative flow, abstract writing), statistical rigor, and common pitfalls like desk-reject triggers, ensuring submissions appeal to a wide, expert audience.

A comprehensive guide for authors submitting biomedical engineering research. It assesses the manuscript's fit, biomedical significance, and translational relevance against Nature's rigorous standards. Covers scope, validation requirements (benchtop vs. clinical), structural guidelines, and official submission checklists for devices, biomaterials, and engineered systems.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide and checklist for authors aiming to submit catalysis research to Nature Catalysis. It assesses not only the technical scope (heterogeneous, homogeneous, electrocatalysis) but also the mechanistic depth, broad significance, required evidence (in situ spectroscopy, DFT), and adherence to the journal's strict house style and formatting guidelines.

This skill is a comprehensive guide for evaluating whether a manuscript in ecology or evolutionary biology is appropriately positioned for Nature Ecology & Evolution. It helps authors check for conceptual novelty, methodological rigor (e.g., macroecology, phylogenetics), and broad scientific significance. Use this tool when determining the best target journal or restructuring the narrative to emphasize general, impactful scientific advances.
