Skill UI

This skill provides a comprehensive assessment tool for authors targeting top-tier pure mathematics journals, such as Inventiones Mathematicae. It guides authors on the required level of mathematical rigor, novelty of argument, significance to the broader research community, and adherence to specific house styles (e.g., LaTeX structure, introduction writing). Use this resource to evaluate whether a strong pure mathematics manuscript meets the exceptional standards of elite academic publishing venues.

This guide details the highly selective, multi-stage review process for a prestigious academic journal. It covers editorial pre-screening, double-blind peer review, expected timelines, and common pitfalls. Use this resource to stress-test your manuscript, understand field significance, and set realistic expectations before submitting your work.

This comprehensive guide outlines the strategic approach for authors revising an academic article following a 'revise-and-resubmit' (R&R) decision. It teaches how to synthesize conflicting feedback from diverse reviewers (e.g., textual scholars, theorists, ethnographers), ensuring every comment is addressed point-by-point. The goal is to strengthen the argument while protecting the core field significance and maintaining scholarly anonymity.

This skill provides a comprehensive guide for structuring advanced humanities essays, particularly for major academic journals. It emphasizes building a clear, thesis-driven argument that unfolds naturally, avoiding rigid IMRaD formats. Use it when outlining, restructuring confusing drafts, or needing to ensure the argument's significance remains visible throughout the body.

This comprehensive guide provides a meticulous preflight checklist for submitting manuscripts to highly specialized academic journals, such as JAAR. It ensures adherence to strict double-blind anonymity, structural requirements (broad significance, length, abstract limits), and specific stylistic conventions, significantly reducing the chance of immediate rejection or return for revision before formal peer review.

This guide helps scholars determine if their research project is suitable for major, generalist journals like the Journal of the American Academy of Religion (JAAR). It teaches how to move beyond local or specialized topics by reframing the significance to contribute broadly to the field of religious studies.

This skill guides authors in transforming raw experimental data into a compelling, logically structured scientific narrative suitable for top-tier journals like JACS. It teaches how to explicitly define the 'chemical advance' by building an evidence-backed claim chain: Problem $ ightarrow$ Advance $ ightarrow$ Evidence $ ightarrow$ Significance. It ensures that every claim of novelty is rigorously supported by data and compares the work explicitly against the closest prior art.

A comprehensive guide for designing and presenting rigorous experiments for top-tier computer science journals. It covers best practices for ensuring reproducibility, matching evidence to claims, selecting appropriate baselines, performing statistical significance testing, and handling modern challenges like LLM contamination and system scalability measurements. Essential for passing double-blind peer review.

This guide assists researchers in sharpening the development-economics takeaway of their manuscripts. It helps authors move beyond merely stating coefficients to explicitly defining the core contribution—the mechanism, policy implication, or theoretical lesson—that the work delivers to the field of development economics, ensuring the work's significance is unmistakable.

This guide provides best practices for creating high-impact tables and figures (exhibits) for academic journals, especially in behavioral economics. It emphasizes visualizing the core behavioral comparison—such as treatment effects, dynamic changes over rounds, or underlying distributions—so the main finding is immediately visible before reading any text. Key practices include using confidence intervals over significance stars, ensuring grayscale readability, and providing self-contained captions.

Provides comprehensive guidelines for crafting professional, academically rigorous tables and figures for top-tier economics journals (like JEEA). This guide covers best practices for presenting empirical results, instructing users on how to structure clean tables (three-line format), replace significance stars with standard errors/confidence intervals, and design effective event-study or model-fit visualizations to ensure the core claim is instantly readable.

This guide provides a rigorous framework for drafting the abstract and introduction of highly theoretical papers, particularly in economics. It teaches authors how to lead with the main theorem, precisely articulate the theoretical advance, define the scope of the claim, and explain the significance relative to existing literature, ensuring zero overclaiming.
