Skill UI

This comprehensive skill guides authors through the complex process of submitting manuscripts to Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). It covers journal positioning, scope fit (from natural to social sciences), required evidence standards, house style rules (like the Significance Statement), and a detailed pre-submission checklist to ensure manuscripts meet high academic publication standards.

A comprehensive guide for crafting the PNAS-style scientific abstract. It details the required structure (single paragraph, ~250 words), the five-move narrative flow (Context, Gap, Approach, Results, Implication), and the critical distinction between the technical Abstract (What/How/Found) and the Significance Statement (Why it matters). Learn how to write accessible, quantified, and self-contained science summaries.

A comprehensive guide detailing how to convert various citation styles (such as APA or Harvard author-date) into the specific, numbered format required by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). It covers numbered citations by order of appearance, full author listing, abbreviated journal titles, and specific formats for articles, books, and datasets, ensuring manuscripts meet high academic publishing standards.

A comprehensive guide for maintaining consistency and completeness of references for PNAS Nexus submissions. It details the critical differences between the format-neutral requirements at submission time and the final numbered style required for publication, emphasizing the proper citation of datasets, software, and preprints.

This guide outlines the stringent structural requirements for writing papers on distributed systems theory, specifically for top-tier conferences like PODC. It details how to front-load the core arguments, define the model box rigorously (network, timing, fault model), structure proofs logically, and ensure the key results are visible within the critical first 10 pages.

A rigorous guide detailing the advanced writing standards required for top-tier database theoretical papers (e.g., ACM PODS). It emphasizes precision in defining models, stating theorems, matching upper and lower bounds, and structuring the narrative to ensure mathematical completeness and verifiability for peer review.

This skill guides the structural and stylistic revision of academic manuscripts intended for Production and Operations Management (POM). It ensures the writing effectively front-loads the core operations problem and managerial takeaway, balancing theoretical rigor with practical relevance. The process enforces journal conventions, such as the 32-page limit and author-year citations, guiding authors to move technical derivations to an e-companion.

A comprehensive guide for academic writers in demography and development studies. It teaches authors how to transform technical, results-heavy manuscripts into lucid, essayistic, and argument-driven narratives. Focuses on linking population quantities to their broad development and policy implications, ensuring readability for diverse non-specialist academic audiences and adhering to specific journal house conventions.

Covers best practices for writing highly technical academic papers, particularly in programming language theory. It guides authors on structuring their work to build a strong 'ramp' from initial concrete programs and informal motivation to rigorous formal proofs and theorems, ensuring clarity and avoiding common pitfalls like unmotivated formalism or ambiguous notation.

This guide assists in drafting or polishing academic manuscripts intended for Public Opinion Quarterly (POQ). It ensures the prose is highly readable for both substantive opinion scholars and rigorous survey methodologists. Crucially, it helps authors adhere to strict word counts, double-blind formatting, and methodological disclosure standards.

A comprehensive guide detailing the rigorous standards required for submitting parallel programming research to top-tier academic venues. It covers crucial topics such as proving concurrency correctness, demonstrating measurable scalability using speedup curves, adhering to strict formatting (10 pages, two-column layout), and structuring the technical contribution to satisfy expert reviewers.

This guide details the rigorous methodology for conducting systematic literature reviews and meta-science pieces, particularly for integrative reviews in psychology (PoPS style). It instructs researchers on how to systematically gather evidence across multiple sub-areas by utilizing techniques like forward/backward snowballing, comprehensive database sweeps (e.g., PsycINFO), and developing detailed evidence matrices. The focus is on synthesizing findings and establishing replicable search protocols to ensure academic rigor and comprehensiveness, moving beyond simple summarization.
