A comprehensive guide for computer vision researchers to determine if their project is a good fit for ECCV, considering scope, technical durability, and academic timing. It weighs the project's contribution against the specific requirements of ECCV versus competing top-tier venues like CVPR and ICCV, ensuring strategic submission planning.

A comprehensive framework for evaluating preliminary economic research ideas against the standards of top-tier journals, such as The Economic Journal (EJ). This tool helps researchers determine if their findings possess broad intellectual appeal, substantial contribution, and a clear economic mechanism, guiding decisions on scope, format (full-length vs. short-paper), and appropriate academic outlet. It is crucial for moving beyond niche results toward widely impactful scholarship.

This skill guides users through assessing the viability and timeliness of a research topic for a high-level policy journal. It evaluates whether a question meets stringent criteria—including first-order policy stakes, current global relevance, and empirical tractability—to be featured in a panel debate. It is essential for turning an academic idea into a publishable, policy-relevant narrative.

This tool helps researchers diagnose whether their empirical or theoretical result meets the high standards required for top-tier academic journals like Econometrica. It guides users to evaluate the generality, methodological novelty, and theoretical depth of their work, ensuring the contribution is a generalizable estimator or theorem, not merely an application.

A comprehensive router designed to guide researchers through the entire lifecycle of writing a highly rigorous academic paper for top-tier econometrics journals, such as Econometrica. It outlines the necessary steps—from initial topic selection and theoretical positioning to detailed identification checks, robustness testing, and final submission package assembly—ensuring the manuscript meets the highest standards of mathematical rigor and scholarly depth. This guide does not replace specialized skills but dictates the optimal sequence of research stages.

This guide helps researchers determine if their econometric result is a general, foundational theory contribution (such as asymptotics or proofs) or merely an applied estimate. It provides a framework for assessing theoretical rigor, identifying generalizations, and deciding whether the work fits a full Article or a concise Miscellanea, ensuring proper submission targeting for top-tier journals.

This router guides the entire lifecycle for writing complex, theory-driven academic manuscripts, particularly in fields like econometrics. It provides a structured roadmap spanning from initial topic selection and literature positioning through rigorous proof development, data simulation, drafting style, and the final submission/rebuttal phases. Use this resource when you are unsure of the correct sequential step or need a systematic check of all necessary components before finalizing your work.

This guide helps researchers determine the optimal publication venue for their econometrics research. It provides detailed rules for assessing whether a paper's contribution is best suited for The Econometrics Journal (EctJ), a general econometrics journal, a theory journal, or a specific field journal. It emphasizes distinguishing between methods with leading-case applied value, purely theoretical proofs, and general empirical findings to improve publication chances.

This comprehensive workflow guides authors through the entire submission process for The Econometrics Journal (EctJ). It provides staged checkpoints—from initial topic selection and theoretical framing to data analysis, manuscript compression, and rebuttal. It ensures manuscripts are methodologically rigorous, empirically grounded, and adhere to strict publishing standards required by top academic venues.

This guide helps researchers determine the optimal venue for their database project, analyzing whether the work belongs at EDBT, SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, or a dedicated theory venue like ICDT. It provides frameworks for choosing the right conference based on contribution type (systems, theory, experiments), open access preferences, and submission cycle proximity.

This guide helps researchers determine if their academic topic possesses sufficient breadth of interest for major, general-interest economics journals, such as the European Economic Review (EER). It provides frameworks and checklists to diagnose whether a contribution is too niche or if it can be successfully reframed to appeal to a non-specialist audience, ensuring it passes initial desk-reject filters.

A comprehensive guide for researchers deciding where to submit an empirical NLP paper. It outlines EMNLP's focus on empirical methods, provides an 'empirical-identity test,' and compares submissions across major venues (ACL, ML, CoNLL, etc.) to help authors choose the most suitable program and pitch.
