Skill UI

This skill guides users on setting up automated code quality gates directly at the Git level. It covers best practices using frameworks like Husky, lint-staged, and pre-commit. Users can enforce linting, formatting, type-checking, and standardized commit message conventions (e.g., Conventional Commits) before code is committed or pushed, significantly improving code hygiene and development workflow consistency.

This guide details how to implement robust pre-commit hooks using Husky, lint-staged, and Prettier. It ensures that code is automatically formatted, type-checked, and tested before being committed. This process is essential for maintaining consistent code quality and standardized development practices across a team.

This meta-skill executes three crucial quality gates—ruff (linting), mypy (type checking), and pytest (unit testing)—in parallel over the staged file differences. It aggregates the results to provide a single, definitive BLOCK or APPROVE verdict, ensuring code readiness and mirroring the strict checks enforced by CI/CD pipelines before local commits.
